A7x and Me
Dancing Dead
"Uh, Mat- Dad... I can't breathe." I choked, trying to pull away from the bone crushing embrace. He removed his arms from around my torso, blushing profusley. An awkward moment passed before I spoke, or at least tried to, because before I could, Matt had started gushing and ranting.
"Oh gosh, Kaylee, I'm so sorry. I should've- I mean, I never meant to-" He began, his hazel eyes boring into mine, begging for forgivness.
I kaughed and silenced him witha hug that almost equaled the one he gave me. "Shhh. It's fine... I shouldn't have freaked out. You have nothing to apologize for." I told him. Tears welled in my eyes when I saw that Matt Sanders, the tough guy M. Shadows, was crying. "No. No no no no. No crying over me." I commanded. He nodded and grinned, wiping his eyes with the back of his large hand.
"Okay, okay. The water works are done. I just... All these years, your mom has kept me posted on how you've been. She told me when you got your first boyfriend, when you came to concerts, when you got A's on test's, so I feel like I've been there for you, even though I haven't. And I understand if you hate me now, but please, give me a chance. Come live with me and the guys, and I promise that we will- I will make it up to you!" Matt begged.
"Oh, now it makes sense why you got all grumpy about Theo... I just thought that you and the guys were really over-protective. And, other than you being my dad and all, I'm also one of those weirdo fan-girls, so of course I'll come live with you! I had no friends at school anyway..." I trailed off, lost in though. Memories of the constant bullying, the getting called 'Emo', 'Goth', a 'Cutter'. Gone were those days. I was now a Cali girl. And I planned to stay that way.
But before I celebrated, I had unfinished business to attend to. Theo.

I'm reading these and I'm embarrassed for myself for ever writing this
