What Now?
I didn’t know where I was, I didn’t know what time it was, and I didn’t care. I had finally got out of that rotten place in hell, and I didn’t plan on going back. I was finally free, and I wouldn’t stop running until I found somewhere with a telephone and food.
The sun was already setting, and there was no sign of any of the guys since I escaped from that house. I stopped for a second to catch my breath and to take a look behind me just in case. Nothing; Just a bunch of trees and the path that I just ran through. You left Amanda there, you idiot. That voice inside my head reminded me, and I mentally slapped my forehead.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake!” I said to the air, and sighed. “I’m sorry, honey, but I can’t go back. I’ll go get you when I find some help, just hang on tight in there.” I said looking back at the road where I came from. I then turned around, and kept running away, I had to hurry since it was getting dark already.
After running for half an hour, I began to hear something. Ruuum.
It was the sound of cars! It was the sound of cars passing through a highway! I picked up my pace, until I finally found what I was looking for. A big smile formed on my face when I saw the highway and a bunch of cars passing through it.
“I’m free.” I whispered.
“I’M FUCKING FREE!” I shouted euphorically and began to jump around when I realized what had happened.
“I’M FREE, MOTHERFUCKERS! AND YOU’RE NOT GONNA GET ME BACK, HA!” I stopped jumping, and decided to look for some gas station or somewhere where they could help me.
After a good ten minutes walking, I found a small motel at the other side of the road. I crossed the highway, and stopped right before the front door when I remembered something. What about zacky? That voice again. I haven’t seen him since the day we kissed. I didn’t know if he was okay, or if shadows had done something to him. FUCK ME SIDEWAYS! I hated when my motherly side hit me. What now? I got concerned, but I really didn’t want to go back. But should I? I thought about it for a second, before pushing the door open, and entering the motel. Maybe I just shouldn’t think about it for now.
