All I Ask Is... Why?

Nine.

The alarm clock starts buzzing around ten-thirty in the morning, but I'm pretty sure it has been on longer than that. The original plan was that Brian and I were going to have a lot to do today, but right now I am so fucking hung over from drinking last night. I don't even really remember too much of what had happened. The only things that I do remember were when Brian and I went to dinner and Believe, we met Criss Angel, and we went to a club and had a great time. I also remember Brian telling me that he loves me and I told him that I love him too, but as far as remembering what happened after that, don't ask because I wouldn't know. The alarm seemed to be getting louder and louder with each buzz and the noise was giving me a huge headache. I slowly moved to turn off the alarm, but I couldn't find the button to turn it off. So I grabbed the entire thing and shoved it as far away as I could, and all I heard was it hitting the floor and breaking, but at least the alarm stopped. I turned around to go back to sleep by snuggling close to Brian, so I scooted closer to wrap my arm around him, but something wasn't right. Brian felt skinnier, softer... and since when did Brian get huge boobs? After realizing that a woman was sleeping in my bed next to me, my eyes shot open and I quickly sat up. A blonde playboy bunny and a naked buffed out and oil soaked man were laying in the bed next to me. Brian was nowhere in sight and all I am thinking is oh my god, what the fuck happened last night? I slowly scooted off of the bed and I realized that I was just in my underwear. I grabbed my dress and shoes from the floor and quickly made my way to the bathroom to put on my dress. Keeping my shoes off, I tip toed my way out of the room to go find my boyfriend. I just pray he didn't ditch me or worse, go to another hotel room and fuck another girl while I was passed out. I made my way over to the dining room, and as I look around, the room was trashed. It must have been some party last night because there were people laying in the most random places. For a moment, I figured that we were in the wrong room, but when I reached the dining room, everything looked familiar, this was mine and Brian's suite. I look over to see that Brian was sitting alone in the second dining room having a coffee and a cigarette, looking out at the view. I made my way over to him, but the sun was shining so bright that the light alone was making me feel like throwing up. When I got there, Brian turned around and smiled at me. "Good morning baby."

"Brian, who are all of these people?" I asked and he shrugged.

"I don't know. A guy woke up earlier and I asked him the same thing. Apparently we met all of these people at the club last night and invited them over." He took a sip of his coffee and motioned the cup to me. "Would you like some?"

"Oh yes, thank you." I held the cup in my hands and took a small sip. "What else happened last night?"

"I'm trying to remember. There was a graffiti in the living room wall that said 'Congratulations Newlyweds', but I don't know who did it and who got married." He chuckled.

I smiled a little. "Could've been anyone in this room." And then a thought came to me that made me chuckle to myself.

"What?" He asked with an eyebrow raised.

"I was just thinking, this is our suite. It would have been something if the newlywed party was for us." I laughed and he did too, before we sat there in silence. Just then, the blonde woman that was sleeping in the same bed I was, was walking around in a bath robe and decided to come out and join us with her own cup of coffee when she noticed me and Brian outside. She smiled at me when she walked in through the glass door.

"Hey there best friend!" She leaned in and hugged me a little. "We had such a blast last night."

"Yeah, we had such a blast that I don't even remember it." I fake smiled at her. 'Or you.' I thought to myself.

Brian stiffened a little as if he heard the voice of a ghost when she started talking. He slowly turned around and took a good look at the blonde. "Ashley?"

I raised an eyebrow at him and looked back at her. Ashley? Who the fuck was this Ashley chick? Better question, how does Brian even know who she is?

"Morning Syn." She smiled at him. "And it's Miranda. Ashley is just my stripper stage name."

This caught me by surprise. She's a stripper and she knows who Brian is? As his girlfriend, I think I deserve some answers for both questions on how they know each other and what exactly happened last night. "You two know each other?" I asked calmly.

Brian cleared his throat. "Yeah, uh, Ashley and I met three months before I met you. Michelle and her best friend's husband decided to test me on trying to see if I would cheat on her by fake cheating on me. I went to a strip club that night with Zacky and Johnny in Los Angeles, and that's when I met Miranda. She worked as one of the main strippers and she and I went to a hotel room and had a one night stand. We did keep in touch after that, but we stopped talking when things between Michelle and I were going good."

On the outside, I seemed cool about this, but on the inside I was getting pissed off and I really wanted to know how did she get here in our hotel room with us. If this bitch even touched Brian the wrong way, then I was going to lose my sanity. "Really? So what brings you to Vegas, Miranda?"

"Well my husband and I moved here about a month ago. We needed a place to live to always have a good time with strangers. Not that L.A. wasn't the place to do it, it's just that it started to get old after a while. So we moved here." She smiled at me.

"You and your husband? So you're married." I asked in shock.

She nodded. "Yeah, he was the one laying down naked with us on the bed."

Brian raised an eyebrow. "What did you say?"

She giggled a little. "Don't worry, nothing bad happened. After we brought you guys back to the suite, the party started going on with more people coming inside and my husband, Jared, and I took you up to your room so you could get some sleep. Evelyn and I still wanted to go out and have fun so I took her to a local strip club. Which she ruled by the way."

Brian and I both looked at each other confused and focused our full on attention to Miranda's story. Apparently she remembers a hell of a lot more of what happened last night than we did. "Strip club?" Brian and I asked together.

Miranda nodded. "Yup. You and I went to a strip club and let me tell you honey, we made it rain. Both the men and women in the club couldn't resist throwing their money at us." She winked at me and took a sip of her coffee. "By the way, your share is in your purse."

"What do you mean? Did you two strip?" Brian asked looking back at both me and Miranda.

"Well, we didn't strip. We just danced on the stage and took over a couple of poles. You are a very lucky man Brian, Evelyn definitely knows how to work a pole." She giggled.

The more this story went on, the more embarrassed I was starting to feel with myself. Never in my life have I been to a strip club and the only stripper friend I had was my former boss Candice. And just when I thought things didn't get any worse, Miranda goes on to tell me that I even hand my own stripper name. "You told everyone to call you Dulce, because you were as sweet as mexican candy." She laughed, and to my surprise, Brian laughed too. Oh god. She went on to say that we came back to the hotel and we partied with some of the playboy bunnies and they gave us underwear to wear the entire time. I asked her why her husband was naked and how all three of us got in the bed together. "Well when people started to either pass out or leave, you were beyond drunk this time and I took you to the room so you could sleep. I was too drunk to take you upstairs with Brian, so I took you to the closest room. Jared and I were still up for fun and being that everyone else was being such a buzz kill, we decided to have fun with each other instead. So he stripped for me and we were going to have sex, but then he puked and passed out at our feet. So I went to sleep."

"Oh." Was all I could say. It really was some party last night, but I'm starting to be, and I'm starting to get the impression that Miranda and Jared are swingers. The sign in the living room came to mind and I knew I had to ask. She would be the only person that could explain this to us. "So, somebody spray painted 'Congratulations Newlyweds' on the wall. Do you know who did that and why?"

She laughed. "Yeah Jared did that. And because sillies, we were celebrating a new marriage."

"Who's?" Brian and I both asked.

"Yours." She smiled. Brian and I both looked at each other in total shock. Did we really get married last night? This had to be a joke. We both started laughing at each other and Miranda looked at us confused. "What's so funny?"

"I think the hangover is taking a strong effect. For a second there, I actually believe that you said Brian and I are married." I laughed and he did too.

Miranda's smile faded a little. "You are. You two got married after we left the first club last night. I was your maid of honor and Jared was Brian's best man."

Brian and I continued to laugh. "There's no way that we are married. I'm sure we would reme-" And then it all just suddenly clicked to me. "Oh no."

The memory seemed to click for Brian the same time it clicked for me. I do remember that we did go to a chapel, only I can't remember if we really did get married. Aside from my promise ring, I wasn't wearing any other ring on my finger and Brian sure as hell wasn't wearing a ring either. Maybe they didn't give us rings. "Do you know if it happened?" I asked her.

"I'm not sure. You told me and Jared to wait for you guys in the limo, so that's what we did. By the time it was over, you were coming out with the veil and the flowers and Brian was getting help in the limo from a security guard." She answered me.

After running everyone out of our room, Brian and I tried recalling everything that went on last night with the help of Miranda and Jared. I asked her if she remembered where it was that we got married and she told me the name of the chapel. Brian looked it up in the phone book and gave the place a call. I do believe that things would have been different and we would've handled this a lot better if the relationship between Brian and I wasn't so fresh and we knew a little more about each other than we do now. The whole one night stand that happened between him and Ashley or Miranda or whatever her name is, was something that he never told me about. Even though that was three months before we met, it still makes me a little uncomfortable that I'm meeting her during a hangover and it also makes me wonder as to what other secrets has he been keeping from me. Plus the whole situation of Brian being in the middle of his own divorce with Michelle, a wedding of any kind between Brian and myself is the last thing either one of us need, especially a drunk ten minute Vegas wedding. As I sat and stayed deep in thought, Miranda and Jared got dressed and said their goodbyes before leaving the suite. Brian finally got off the phone and kneeled down in front of me. "I called the chapel, and the priest that married us is going to tell us what happened. He's on his lunch break right now, but they said we can go in about an hour and he should be there until four."

I nodded at him, and it started to hit me that I was a little worried as to what was going to happen after this whole thing got settled. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Tell you about what baby?" He asked calmly.

"About Ashley. Why didn't you tell me about her and how you guys know each other?" I asked not looking at him.

He sighed before placing his finger under my chin to slowly move my face up to look at him. "I didn't tell you about her because I forgot all about her. She's not important to me, she was just someone I slept with to forget about Michelle and eventually I forgot all about her. And that happened when I met you. Baby I love you, you're all that matters to me now and I don't want that to change. I'm sorry and I should have told you, but like I said, I forgot about her." He kissed my lips lightly and I kissed him back. He really knows exactly what to say to me.

I bit lightly on his bottom lip and he growled at me with a small smirk. "What do you say we go enjoy a really long shower together?" I smirked at him.

He chuckled. "Babe, we have to meet the guy in an hour."

"Well he can wait. Besides, I would like to know what it would be like to be Mrs. Haner for a couple of hours." I smiled at him.

"Well that's easy, you can just ask my stepmom." He laughed.

"Shut up and take me to the shower." I laughed. He picked me up bridal style and we made our way to the shower upstairs. I think I could get used to this.

Three hours later, Brian and I are getting dressed and we both agreed that as soon as we finish speaking to this priest, then it's safe to say that we should head back to Huntington Beach a day early. As much fun as we had the first day and a half that we were here, we realized that Las Vegas is a little two dangerous for our relationship right now, so we packed everything and placed it all in the limo. The suite was still a mess, but we decided to leave it to the owners to handle it, and bail before any house keepers came up. Once packed and ready to go, Brian called the chapel and they said the priest had to work over time to wed another couple before he leaves. We got in the limo and made our way to the chapel. The priest greeted us at the door and sat us down in his office. "Now I understand you two have some questions as to what exactly happened last night. I remember you two because you left a big impact from the time you arrived to the time you two left." He chuckled. "Well, first off, you two came in and were drunker than drunk. This man was already stumbling over his two feet and you were turning as pale as a ghost. When you two came in the room, you both ran down the isle together and stopped in front of me. Samantha, the young lady in the office, was already handing me the rings to get you two officially married." He looked at Brian. "When I asked you if you wanted to be her husband, you passed out on the ground." He then looked at me. "And when I asked you if you wanted to be his wife, vomit just shot out of your mouth and landed all over me. I was already in a bad mood enough as it was, and when you vomited on me, I called everything off and told everyone that I was refusing to marry you two. Now if you two got married in another chapel, then I can't help you. But as far as I'm concerned, you two were never married."

What a relief! Brian and I sighed in relief and smiled at each other. I am so happy that we didn't make the mistake of getting married too early in the relationship. Maybe in the future, we can get married and stuff, but do it all the right way. But as of right now, we both agreed that it's not happening. We still have a lot to learn about each other and be in a relationship together longer than a year to even think about marriage. After we left to the airport, Brian and I agreed that everything that happened after we said our I Love You's, and anyone ever asked us about it, it just never happened.
