Complicated Love

The Wedding

Brooke's POV
I was getting married today.
When I woke up, it was nine a.m and the wedding was at four that afternoon. I was getting married to Jimmy Sullivan in only seven hours and I had so much to do.
Val would be here soon to take me and the rest of my bridal party to get our hair done. I got out of bed and pulled some clothes on and waited for Val to show up. When she did, she only honked her horn in front of my house. I laughed as I walked to her car.
We picked up the rest of the girls and Val drove us to the salon she usually went to. We walked in the door and a tall skinny woman, maybe three or four years older than me walked up to hug Val.
Val hugged her back then turned to me. "Brooke, this is Penny. She will be doing mine and yours hair today. She is the only one I trust to touch mine and I want yours to be perfect."
Michelle made a rude noise. "What about the rest of us? Shouldn't our hair be perfect too?"
Penny laughed and held her hand out. "You must be Val's twin. She talks about you alot. Don't worry, my ladies will make sure you all look amazing." Then she turned to me, "And I will personally make sure you are the most beautiful bride in Southern California. Although, it won't take much since you're so pretty."
I blushed, Val saw it and laughed. "Hey, Brookie. You're a blushing bride!"
My hair is naturally curly and hangs just below my shoulder blade. Penny curled my hair even more making it shiny and bouncey. Then she pulled it up into an updo letting a few curls frame my face. Before she finished, she had weaved small white ribbons in and out of my hair making it look just fantastic.
Val and the other girls had gone before me, so when I was done it was time to go and get some lunch. After lunch, we went for manicures and pedicures since all of our shoes were open toed.
By the time that was done, it was almost three so we headed to my house to get dressed and ready to go. When I walked out of my bedroom in my dress, the girls that hadn't seen my dress gasped and Val grinned.
Katie was the first to hug me. "Wow, Brooke. You look amazing in that."
"Yeah," her sister, Sarah said. "I'm jealous. I hope I look half that good at my wedding."
I smiled at her. "You two look great. Those dresses are beautiful."
Michelle hugged me next. "Jimmy is going to go crazy over you."
Val nodded. "Definately."
We heard a car honk and Katie looked out the window. "Brooke, it's the guys, minus Jimmy of course."
I stood in my living room as Val let in my boys and they all stopped and stared when they saw me.
Matt moved first and pulled me into a hug. "God, B you look gorgeous."
Zacky moved around Matt to hug me too. "Jimmy sure is a lucky guy, Brookie. You are absolutely stunning."
I smiled at the both of them. "Thank you guys. You're sweet."
"I'm so happy for you, Brookie," Johnny said.
Brian rushed up to me and pulled me into a hug. "Our little Brooke is all grown up!" he said and his voice caught.
I leaned back to look at him. "Brian, are you...crying?"
"No!" he said. "Your hair got in my eye..."
I laughed and hugged him again. "It's ok Bri. I love you too."
I loved them all. These were my boys, my brothers, my family.
"Hey, Brooke." Sarah said from the open front door. "Your limo is here."
I said goodbye to the guys and headed outside to where the long black stretch limo Jimmy had ordered was waiting for me.
Next stop, my wedding.

Jimmy's POV
I had just arrived to the beach to find that everything had been set up and a lot of guests were already here. The guys had stopped by to see Brooke before they headed this way and I was so jealous.
We were forbidden to talk until I saw her today and I missed her so much. I was so nervous to see so much family I hadn't seen for a while and all I wanted to do was pull her to me and hold her. When Brooke was in my arms, nothing else mattered to me.
"Jimmy!"
I turned to see who had called me and saw both Matt and Jason Berry headed towards me. I smiled as they patted me on the back.
"Congratulations, dude." Matt said.
"Yeah, I'm jealous that brooke is officially off the market after today," Jason said with a laugh. These guys had grown up with Brooke as well and I knew they cared about her like the rest of us.
I narrowed my eyes at Jason, "Watch it, Jason."
He knew I was kidding though as he threw his hands up in defeat.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned to see my mom standing there. I grinned and hugged her. "Hey, mom."
"Hi, baby," she said. "I'm so proud of you, Jimmy. You finally went out and got that girl."
Over the next ten minutes or so, I greeted guests and I hugged so many people. Finally, I saw the guys walk up to me all with huge smiles on their faces.
"So?" I said when they reached me. "How'd she look?"
Brian laughed and draped an arm over my shoulder. "You'll see, bro. Come on. Get up at the front. It's showtime."

Brooke's POV
The plan was that my bridesmaids would walk down the aisle and then after that, my limo would pull up and my dad would meet me to walk me from the limo down the aisle.
We were pulling up to the beach and I could see my bridal party walking with Val leading. They looked absolutely beautiful. I could see my dad standing at the end of the aisle waiting for me.
The limo pulled up to him and stopped when he was standing next to my door. My dad opened the door then leaned down to help me out.
As soon as I was out of the car, the wedding march began to play. I stood for a second to look at everyone who was there for me ad Jimmy. My dad took my arm and we slowly started walking.
He leaned over and whispered in my ear, "You look gorgeous, Brookie-bear. I couldn't be more proud for you."
I smiled and whispered back, "Thank you, daddy. I love you."
He stood up straight and I could see a tear in his eye. I looked forward and swore I wouldn't cry...yet.
I looked up at Jimmy who was smiling the biggest smile I had ever seen. He looked at me like we were the only ones who were there, and in that moment, we were. I loved him so much and from this day forth, I would forever be his.

Jimmy's POV
My cheeks were hurting I was smiling so big but I didn't care at all. My Brooke was walking towards me and she looked breathtaking. The dress hugged each curve of her body perfectly and the few tendrils of hair that were down, framed her face. My heart was beating at a million miles an hour. Brian patted my back and gave me a reassuring smile.
When Brooke and her father reached me, the pastor asked, "Who gives this young lady away?"
Her father stood up straight. "Her mother and I do." Then he leaned down and kissed her cheek before going to sit by his wife.
Brooke stood in front of me smiling and she mouthed "I love you" before the pastor spoke again.
"The couple has asked me not to provide a usual wedding ceremony. They have asked that I talk very little and they say their own vows. In James' own words, he wants me to just 'stand here and be pretty'" he said and the crowd laughed. He was right. I had said that to him. We were getting married our way. He turned to me and nodded signaling me to begin my vows.
I grabbed Brooke's hands. "Brooke, my Duckie, I love you. I have loved you for most of my life and for the rest of it I will only love you more and more each day. You have been my best friend since we have been kids and I promise to you that just because we are husband and wife that I will never let our friendship end. You are one of the most important things in my life and I will always be your rock, your shoulder to cry on, your person to go to when you must rant. I will never leave your side, Brooke."
I turned and Brian handed me the ring and I slipped the silver band with my name on it onto her tiny finger.

Brooke's POV
My eyes were tearing up from Jimmy's vows and now it was my turn.
"Jimmy, you have always been the one person I went to with my problems. You have always been my absolutly best friend. Now I get to be with my best friend for the rest of my life and I couldn't be happier. I love you so much and that will never change. People will come and go in our lives but I will always be here beside you. Now you know you will always have somebody here for you. And I will never leave you, Jimmy. Never."
I took the ring with my name on it and slipped it onto Jimmy's finger and we were smiling at each other.
Then the pastor stood up straight. "You may now kiss the bride."
Jimmy leaned forward, pulled me to him and kissed me hard. The pastor said, "I now pronounce you man and wife" and then every one cheered. Jimmy and I pulled away from each other and smiled.
"I love you, Mrs. Sullivan." Jimmy said as he kissed me again.
"I love you too, Mr. Sullivan."
We turned and walked back down the aisle as man and wife.
At the reception, Jimmy and I stood beside the cake cutting into it together. We were going to feed each other, but of course we ended up shoving it into one another's faces.
"Ahh! You got cake in my hair!" Jimmy yelled as everyone in the room laughed.
After we had gotten all cleaned up, we sat down and listened to person after person get up and give a toast. Each of my boys got up and said something about knowing each of us for so very long and how proud they were of us.
Brian was the last to stand up. "I have been best friends with Jimmy since eighth grade and he had this annoying little red headed brat with him wherever he went. Of course I tried to get him to ditch her like all boys will do. But Jimmy wouldn't do it. He said that he would never leave her side. And he has kept his promise for years. I eventually began to love Brookie like my sister, we all have. And now all I have to say is, Jimmy you better not break your promise now or you and I will have some serious problems."
Jimmy got up and hugged his brother. I then stood to hug Brian. "I love you, Bri. Thank you. Oh yeah and..." I hit his shoulder. "That was for trying to ditch me you jerk!"
Jimmy laughed and pulled me to him. "I would never have let him."
Soon, it was time for the guys to get up and play for us.
"Now it's time for Brooke and Jimmy's first dance as husband and wife," Matt said into the mic before they played Warmness on The Soul.
I smiled at Jimmy as he pulled me onto the dance floor and we began to sway with the music. I laid my head on his chest. It was done and I was married to my best friend. I knew that Jimmy and I were made for each other.
He kissed my hair. "You look amazing, Brooke. This dress was a great choice."
"Yeah?" I said looking up at him. "The lady at the store said I shouldn't show my wings."
Jimmy rolled his eyes and ran his hand slowly down my back. "Well I'm glad you did. I think they are beautiful just like you, babe."
I kissed him. "I love you, James Owen Sullivan."
"I love you, Brooke Lynn Sullivan," he said kissing me back.
Today was the first day of the rest of our lives and we would tackle it together as husband and wife.

No one on the site is wrong about her being a great author. Everyone has an opinion and you should respect it. I'm not saying this just because the author is my best friend, I'm saying this because everyone has an opinion and you kinda took the whole "constructive criticism" thing too far. I'm not sure if you meant it this way, but it came quite rude. Her stories all have a lot of views and great ratings. I don't think this entire site is wrong.
ok i have been reading this all day then i went through the comments. i have to be honest...i barely got through it. its hard to keep up with and the story isnt even very good. people saying that you are one of the best writers on here are wrong. ^.^ just saying
