Complicated Love

Presents

Brooke and I walked into the house, hand in hand. I was finally living my dream and that fucking douchebag, Drew had to try and screw it up. I had wanted nothing more than to beat him into the ground, but I knew that my Brooke could handle herself.
I loved having her around me all the time. And I definately loved kissing her; the way she gasped whenever I kissed her and when she stood on her toes to wrap her arms around my neck.
She was finally mine and I wanted it to stay like that forever.
I squeezed her hand. "You ready for presents?" I couldn't wait her for her to open mine.
Brooke looked up at me and smiled. "Yes. Once all those people are gone."
I nodded understanding that she loved parties with me and the guys, but parties with random people always made her feel uncomfortable.
About twenty minutes later, me, Brooke, the guys and Val, were all sitting in Matt's living room around the coffee table which was loaded with presents from us.
I sat on the couch, Brooke was sitting on the floor in between my legs and I was playing with her hair. I loved how soft it felt, I loved everything about her.
Johnny was bouncing around the room, over flowing with excitement. He grabbed a pink wrapped box and handed it to Brooke. "Mine first!"
She laughed and took it from him. "Ok Johnny. But first you have to calm down."
Johnny shook his head. "Nope!"
She laughed again and opened her first present. Inside was an Avenged Sevenfold hoodie that had "Johnny Christ is the baddest mutha fugga" written in silver sharpie on the back.
I grinned at Johnny. All of us had a theme for her presents and it was for a very special, heartbreaking reason.
Brooke motioned for Johnny to come down to her level and hug her. "I love it, Short Shit. I really do," she said.
Brian handed her his next. Inside was a framed photo of him and Brooke taken at the beach a few years back. Around the frame was written "Brian and Brookie. Fuckin' Shit Up Forever".
"Oh Brian! I forgot about this! And I love the frame. Thank you!" She said, getting up to hug him. When she sat back down I hugged her shoulders and she leaned back to kiss me. I would never get tired of the way she made my heart speed up everytime her lips touched mine.
"Hey! Cut it out, you two!" Val said. "Its's time for more presents"
Brooked shrugged and kissed me once more. "Sorry, Val. Who is next?"
"Me," Matt said handing her his present. It was a pair of his aviator glasses and a small envelope with a certificate for one free tattoo, any size, at our favorite tattoo parlor. Brooke looked up at Matt with a questioning look. He held his hands up. "It's from both of us," he said. "My sunglasses so you'll look as bad ass as me and the tattoo is so you can get something special from your boys to you."
"I already have a death bat," Brooke said.
Val laughed. "Who said it had to be a death bat. Just...we'll all figure it out together huh?"
Brooke nodded and reached for the next box. She looked at the label. "Ooh it's from Zacky," she said as she ripped into it.
Inside was a Vengeance University shirt that he had signed at the bottom.
By now, I could tell that she was seeing the theme. "Ok guys," she asked. "What's with all the memorabilia? I love you all but this stuff is about you guys."
I knew she'd figure some of it out. I leaned down, kissed her neck and she moaned quietly enough that only I could hear her. "We'll tell you after you open mine," I said handing her my present. I had wrapped it in a shiny silver wrapping paper and had topped it with a gigantic purple bow.
Brooke smiled and she gently opened it. She gasped and turned to sit in my lap hugging my neck. "Oh Jimmy! I love it!"
It was a necklace with beads that had been specially made to have pictures of the two of us on them. In the middle was a duck that had "My Duckie" written on it.
She kissed me and I kissed her back, ignoring what everybody was saying. Whenever I held Brooke in my arms, I lost focus on the rest of the world and I got lost in the scent and feel of her.
She finally pulled away and both of us were flushed and breathing hard. I wrapped my arms around her waist and held her on my lap.
Brooke turned to the rest of them. "Ok," she said. "Now are you going to tell me why all of those gifts have to do with you all?"
All of us looked at eachother and then they all looked at me. Oh man!
"Come on guys! I don't want to tell her," I said hiding behind her back.
She sat up straight. "Tell me what? Out with it."
Matt sighed. "We're going on tour, B."
I felt her shrug. "So? I knew you would have to. But not for a while right."
"No, Brookie. We leave next week. For over seas," Brian said.
I sat up and looked at her face. I couldn't read it. "Brooke?" I asked reaching for her hand. She turned her face to me and the tears in her eyes damn near broke my heart. My Brooke never cried. She was the strongest person I knew
"How long, Jimmy?" She asked.
"Eight months."
Brooke nodded, grabbed my hand and stood and lead me out to the backyard. "We'll be back guys."
I followed her out the back door and into the night. She stood in front of me wrapping her arms around herself and staring at the ground.
When I moved to hold her, her head snapped up and she glared at me. "Why didn't you tell me, James Owen."
Ah shit, I was in trouble. "Because we wanted to celebrate your birthday. Plus, Larry kind of threw this at us only two days ago. Hince all the presents being stuff you'll have to remember us by."
Brooke sighed and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her and held her tightly to me. I had just gotten my dream come true and now I had to leave her. It was killing me.
"We can still talk everyday, right?" Brooke said against my chest.
"Of course, Baby. Every chance I get." I kissed the top of her head and she smiled up at me. I definately did not want to leave her.
"Ok, Jimmy. I do love all of my presents, though. Let's go back inside and eat my cookie cake, huh? How big is it?"
I smiled. "The biggest money can buy."
Her green eyes went wide and she grabbed my hand again pulling me after her. "I want my cookie!" She yelled as we made our way back onto the house.
I was absolutely and completely in love with her and nothing would ever change that.

Notes

I'm sorry it's so short. I was kind of rushed for time but I promise that the next Jimmy POV will be longer.

No one on the site is wrong about her being a great author. Everyone has an opinion and you should respect it. I'm not saying this just because the author is my best friend, I'm saying this because everyone has an opinion and you kinda took the whole "constructive criticism" thing too far. I'm not sure if you meant it this way, but it came quite rude. Her stories all have a lot of views and great ratings. I don't think this entire site is wrong.
ok i have been reading this all day then i went through the comments. i have to be honest...i barely got through it. its hard to keep up with and the story isnt even very good. people saying that you are one of the best writers on here are wrong. ^.^ just saying

Omg, I absolutely loved this! (: Kayla should've gotten worse than what she got, but hey, at least Brooke got the guy in the end, right? (; This was amazing! Now, off to read the sequel!
