Chapter Twenty-Seven

Brayden was whiny, very whiny today. Brian was over with Nate, him and Payson were in the baby cage. It seriously pisses me off that my two year old can out smart me, but that’s just me ranting.
“So where is Brayden today?” Brian asked
“Upstairs, I’m on call. You might actually have to leave today, I might have you take P for the day but I don’t know. She doesn’t feel good and she’s whiny and grumpy.” I said
“Sounds like you’ve got your hands full man.” He said
“You have no idea.” I said
“She’s pregnant; she’s going to be whiny. Just watch her it’s not good for pregnant women to not feel good.” She said
I nodded and looked at him.
“How was the court house wedding?” I asked
“Boring.” He said
“You’re weirded out that you’re married.” I said
He just smiled at me.
“The irresistible horn dog Synyster Gates is married with a two year old.” I smiled
“It is weird but I love it. I love Madison with all of my heart. I never thought I was going to get married, I seemed to like my hit and go lifestyle with the few long relationships but Madison. She was different than the rest of them, she put up with my shit, my drunkenness, my doucheness, just all of me with me. I love her.” He said
“She feels the same way, trust me I can hear her squealing when her and Bray talk about you here. So do you want more kids with Madison?” I asked
“One day, maybe another year or so.” He said
“We’re having a boy.” I said
“A boy?” Brian smiled
“Yep, a little boy.” I said
“I hope he’s just like you so you can see what we all put up with.” He laughed
“Thanks.” I smiled
He nodded and side hugged me.
“You know I love you Jim.” He said
“I love you to Brian.” I said
“Here I will take you’re smart ass daughter with me and you can spend the day with Mrs. Grumpy.” He said
“Okay.” I said
“P you’re going to come with Nate and me.” Brian said
He smile widened and she nodded.
“I’ll see you later.” Brian said
He had clothes and shit for her at his house. I picked Payson up and kissed her.
“Bye, I’ll see you tonight.” I said
“Bye bye.” She said
“I love you.” I said
“I wove you too.” She smiled
I handed her to Brian and they left, I sat down on the couch and then my phone went off.
-Come here baby.-
It was a text from Bray, I went upstairs and she was lying in bed.
“Hi grumps.” I said
She smiled at me.
“Shush.” She said
“You know I love you.” I said
I crawled into the bed with her and kissed her nose.
“I love you too.” She said
“How are you feeling?” I asked
“I’m just tired, so tired and I don’t understand it.” She said
“It’s all a part of being pregnant.” I said
“I wasn’t like this with Payson.” She said
“No, you were worse.” I said
She smiled.
“Uncle Brian took Payson so I could spend the day with my grumpy wife.” I said
She smiled.
“Do you want anything to eat? If you say no I will force you to eat it cause you have to eat it for the baby.” I said
“Go make me a samich man.” She said
“Woman please.” I said
“Baby will you make me a peanut butter sandwich?” She asked
“Yes.” I said
“With a bottle of water?” She smiled
I nodded and kissed her lightly on the lips, I got up and walked downstairs and made her sandwich. I was about to walk upstairs but there was a light knock on the door, I set the plate and bottle down and answered it.
“God damn it we need to move.” I growled
“Calm down I’m not here to start any shit.” She said
“Lea.” I said
“I’m really not.” She said
“Then why are you here?” I asked
“To say that I’m sorry for the last time I was here.” She said “I understand that we are over, I just didn’t want to believe it. I think if you and I didn’t end on the way that we did Brayden and I could be friends.” She said
I scoffed
“You show up here after you help her father kidnap her and abuse her, almost kill her and then you came back again to try and hurt her and our son. Now you’re apologizing?” I asked
She looked at her feet.
“How dumb do you think I am Lea?” I asked
She shrugged.
“I will never forgive you for anything ever! And it took my screaming at you to understand that we’re over and I don’t love you anymore.” I said
She nodded and I closed the door and locked it. I picked up the plate and bottle and returned upstairs.
“I’m back baby.” I said
She smiled and I handed her the things.
“We need to move.” I said
“Why?” She asked
“Lea.” I said
“Was she here?” She asked
“Yeah she came to say she was sorry and I got mad and closed the door in her face.” I said
Brayden smiled.
“We really need to move so she can’t find us.” I said
“Well we might need a bigger house since we have another baby on the way.” She said
“Yeah.” I said
“It’s something to think about.” She said
“I want to stay on the beach though.” I said
“I’m sure we can find a bigger house that is still on the beach.” She said
“You always have the answers.” I said
“It is because I am god.” She said
We laughed. She ate her sandwich and then looked at me.
“What baby?” I asked
“Cuddle with me.” I said
I smiled and pulled her to my side and she laid her head on my chest. I looked down at her and she was rubbing her tummy, I placed my hand over hers and she looked up at me.
“I can’t wait to meet him Jimmy.” She said
“Me either.” I said
She smiled and kissed my chest.
“Are you feeling sick because you’re sick or are you feeling ill because your pregnancy?” I asked
“The second one I hope.” She said
“I told Brian that it was a boy.” I said
“What’d he say?” She asked
“That he hopes he’s just like me so I can see what everyone has been dealing with.” I said
She smiled.
“Oh Brian.” She said
“He also said he wants more kids with Madison in the future. I never expected Syn to be a family man.” I said
“Well shit happens.” She said
I laughed and she sighed.
“What’s the matter baby?” I asked
“Can we rearrange the living room, I don’t want to lay in bed all day but I don’t want to go outside.” She said
“Yes, let’s go.” I said
We got out of bed and went to the living room and set everything up differently until she was happy with it, that’s really all that mattered right now, is that she is happy.
“This smells good, but kind of like alcohol.” She said picking up my can of RockStar.
“It’s not baby.” I said
“I know, just smells like it.” He smiled still sniffing my can
“It kind of leaves an aftertaste like alcohol but it’s not. And you still can have it ha.” I smiled
“Not even a sip?” She smiled
I knew she was joking.
“No baby.” I said
She stepped up to me and craned her neck to look at my face.
“What?” I asked
She stood on her toes and slung her arms around my neck and played with the small hairs on the back on my head, I wrapped my arms around her waist and leaned down so my forehead was on her.
“You know what?” I said
“What?” She asked
“You know where my favorite place is?” I asked
“In the bar.” She smiled
“That used to be. I’m talking about now. Where do I love to be now?” I asked
She just looked at me, I like to be at home with my favorite girls, right now I’m settling for at home with my favorite wife.” He said
“Who is this woman?” She asked
“Well, she’s the most beautiful woman I have ever met in my life, she makes me thankful of the life I have with her now. We have the most beautiful little two year old girl and a handsome little mister on the way.” I said
“Baby I love you.” She said
She pushed her lips to mine and bit my lip when she pulled away.
“Just think, if Brian hadn’t said anything about Stallion Ducks that one day three years ago.” She said
“I don’t even want to think about that because I would have never found you, i would have never gotten the best family in the world, you wouldn’t even be alive, Brian would have never met Madison and they wouldn’t have a family. Madison would still be with Derek getting abused. If Brian hadn’t said anything all of our lives would be fucked.” I said
“But he did say something and you found me, Brian got Madison and we are all happy?” She questioned
“We’re all happy and that’s what matters.” I said
I picked her up bridal style and kissed her, there was a knock at the door.
“I got it.” She said wiggling out of my grip.
She walked over shaking her but cause she knew I was watching.
“Like what you see?” She asked
“You know it.” I said
She opened the door and once again Lea was standing there.
“I was hoping it wouldn’t be you.” I said
“I’m glad you answered the door this time Brayden.” She said
“Why?” Brayden asked
“We should talk.” Lea said
“How about no?” She questioned
“Come on guys I just want to apologize.” She said
“Okay well take your apology and shove it up the deep abyss you call your vagina. Have a good day.” Brayden said slamming the door in her face.
I just laughed.
“Why are you laughing?” She smiled
“Because you just called her a slut without actually saying it.” I smiled
“It’s a talent.” She smiled
She walked over to me and kissed my chest where the F in Fiction in.
“We do need to move.” She smiled
“See.” I said
“Our little three bedroom house isn’t going to support another baby either.” She said
“Come with me my lady.” I said holding out my hand
She took it and I led her upstairs and into our bedroom, I gently pushed her down onto the bed and I grabbed my laptop.
“Are you looking up listings for beach houses?” She asked
“Beach houses with five bedrooms.” I said
“Five?” She asked
“Just in case.” I winked
She laughed and we laid there and looked at house listings.
“This one is pretty.” She said
It was a five bedroom house right on the beach, it had an open floor plan for the level floor where the kitchen, living room, dining room, and family room were at. It has four bathrooms, one in the master bedroom, one in the upstairs hall for the rest of the rooms, one on the level floor, and the last one was in the basement. The basement was spilt into two rooms, a smaller room for the laundry room and then a big open space that has a bar in it.
“You could out a kit down there.” She said
I nodded in agreement that my drum set could go down there.
“Its open for open houses right now. Do you want to go look?” I asked
She smiled at me and nodded.
“Lets go.” I smiled
We got up and got dressed and went out to the car locking up the house behind us. The house was ten minutes closer to everyone else but Brian, it was basically down the street from him. When we pulled up it was more beautiful in person. We got out and the house lady person that is trying to sell it showed us around, the side was huge and since every likes to gather at our house I decided that it was good to be big. As she showed us the house we went into the master bedroom, it was a good size and I know Brayden fell in love with the view from the balcony, it was facing the beach and it was beautiful. The master bathroom had a big glass shower and a good sized bathtub. As we looked through the other rooms I knew this house was going to be mine soon, as the lady showed us the back yard which was exactly the beach because the house was lifted because of flooding and shit, but there was a pool, it was one of those cool pools I think they’re called Infinity Pools; the ones with no edges? But anyways it over looked the beach.
“It’s beautiful.” Brayden whispered
I nodded to her and when the tour was over I knew she wanted that house.
“I’ll meet you out in the car.” I told her giving her the keys.
She nodded and walked away.
“So Mr. Sullivan are you interested in the house?” The lady asked
“Very.” I said
She smiled and nodded and told me the price, it was a lot and I know Brayden would fuss about it but I was going to do it, yeah I know you’re thinking rock stars don’t make a lot of money but Avenged Sevenfold does and.. I’m sort of a trust fund kid so I can use that money to buy the house. I made her my offer and told her I’d put one hundred grand down of the down payment and she smiled at me and I know the deal was sealed, that house was ours. We traded numbers and I learned her name was Ursula and I smiled.
“I’ll give you a call when I can give you the final answer.” She said
“Thank you.” I said
“But five bedrooms for two people?” She asked
“My wife and I have a daughter and we’re expecting in five months.” I said
“Family man.” She said
“I am now.” I said
“I figured since you’re the drummer in a band.” She said
I nodded and walked out to the car where Brayden was dancing in her seat to some song, I smiled and got into the driver’s seat, we collected our daughter without telling Brian about the house and sent home, when we got there Payson was fast asleep in the back so I picked her up and took her to bed. Eventually Brayden and I went to bed too.
