Walk With Me

Terrance rubbed his eyes sleepily. He was just about to fall asleep when he heard a loud banging on the door. Damn these guys. I clearly told Matt to call me first before coming in.

“I told you to call me first!” he shouted as he walked towards the driver’s seat a pushed the door button.

It wasn’t the boys. It was a group of fans, three people to be exact, standing in front of the door. This made Terrance even madder.

“They’re not here! Now scram!”
He was about to close the door when one of them yelled.
“Terry!”
“Huh?”
“It’s me, Erika! Don’t you recognize me?”

Terrance rubbed his eyes again. The girl who spoke really did seem familiar but there was something different about her.

“Erika?” he tried to recall the name. “Oh, Erika!” he went down from the bus hastily and held out his hand. “It’s been a while, how are you?”

“Oh Terry!” Erika ignored his hand and just pulled him into a tight hug. Terrance was a big buffed man. Even bigger than Matthew, so Erika’s arms couldn’t really reach the circle of his waist.

“I’m fine. How are you?” she pulled away from the hug as Jenna and Chris shook his hand warmly.

“I’m good. Been better. Whatchu doin here?”

“I’m here for the Warped. Oh, this is Jenna and Chris. My band mates.”

“Your own band! Awesome.”

Erika chuckled and glanced at Jenna and Chris who were staring at Terrance big built body.

“Where are the guys at?”

“Oh you didn’t know? They’re on stage right now.”

“WHAT?” the three of them yelled. Terrance winced a bit, a little taken aback with their loud yelling.

“Seriously? Why didn’t we get the memo?” Jenna complained, hands on her hips.

“Uh, you could refer to the big schedule over at the entrance.” Terrance pointed aimlessly.

“We need to go. Like, right now.” Erika pulled Jenna’s hand and was about to run but then she stopped, glancing back at Terrance. “Thanks Terry. Sorry we disturbed your nap.”

Terrance smiled and raised his palm. “If it’s you, I don’t mind. Hey, I’ll tell them you stopped by.”

“That’d be great.”

Then Erika grabbed Chris’s hand too and the three of them ran back to the concert scene. But then Chris suddenly stopped running.

“Chris! Why are you stopping?”
“I’m starving. Can we eat first?”
“We’re gonna miss them!”
“Seriously, Erik. My stomach is on the verge of fucking exploding right now.”
Erika rolled her eyes and sighed heavily. “Fine.”

They ran further and found the burger joint that they were looking for earlier. They ordered three burger meals to go but Chris was being an asshole - he wanted some milkshakes and sundae with his order. Erika was practically running in one place, so eager to see the guys again but Chris was making them late.

“Chris! Come the fuck on!”
“Alright alright! I’m done.”
After they all had gotten their orders, Erika didn’t care; she grabbed both of them and ran at full speed towards the concert field arena.


“Ahhhh so many people!” Jenna whined as they arrived there, standing in the last row of crowds and the stage was so far from their view.

“Did you bring your backstage pass?”

Both Jenna and Erika checked their pockets. Unfortunately, they didn’t. Chris checked his own pocket, and then he brought out a tag with BACKSTAGE ACCESS written on the laminated card. Jenna and Erika yelled at him, slapping his shoulders for being such a pain in the ass. He could have brought out that pass earlier. They ran to the backstage by wiggling through the crowds on the side.

It was awful, and tiring but they had to. There was no other way to the backstage. By the time they had arrived near the stage, it wasn’t Avenged Sevenfold anymore. There was some other unknown band on it.
“Damn it! We missed them!”
“Maybe they’re still in the backstage?”

They looked at each other once and continued to wiggle through. Chris flashed his backstage pass at the security and he opened the steel gate for them. They searched for Avenged Sevenfold like crazy, especially Erika. She wanted to see them so much.

They went into the dressing rooms, the food and beverages area, the equipments store room, everywhere. Still there was no sign of them.

“Look at us. We’re like a bunch of stalkers.” Jenna said, after they had finally given up searching for them.

“We should’ve just stayed at the bus.” Chris said, starting to chomp down his burger.

“THE BUS!” Erika and Jenna yelled and they both ran off from the backstage, leaving Chris alone, chasing them at the back while eating his burger.


The bus was gone. It went away. Erika and Jenna dropped down on the road and just laid on their backs, facing the dark night sky and catching their breath again. Chris arrived shortly after with his mouth chewing the food.

“I hope you’re happy Chris!”

Chris sat down beside them and continued to enjoy his burger.

“Why are we so fucking unlucky? If Drew was with us earlier he would tell us to stay by the bus.”

“Yeah yeah. Drew’s always right. Here, eat your fucking burger.” Chris rolled his eyes.

Jenna and Erika sat up straight and the three of them were having their dinner there, in the middle of an empty road.
