Catching Feelings

Virgin

I woke up with a pounding headache and a heavy arm draped across my waist. I turned over, finding Matt snoring softly next to me. I looked down, noticing that I was no longer in the clothes I had on last night, but a really big t-shirt. No, no, no. Absolutely not. I did not lose my virginity while I was drunk. That's impossible. I wasn't like that. It never happened when I got drunk before. What was so different about this specific time? I tried to push Matt's arm off me without waking him up and managed to succeed. I looked around, noticing that were in my house. Well, at least I was home instead of at his place. That made me feel a little bit better.

I walked into the bathroom and handled my business while inspecting my body. I didn't have any hickeys or bruised, and I wasn't sore. So maybe we didn't have sex. But if we didn't have sex, why was he still here? In my bed of all places? I found some aspirin and quickly popped two in my mouth, swallowing them with a mouthful of water from the sink. I made a quick job of brushing my teeth. I walked back into my room. Matt was still sleep, and I decided to make breakfast. It was the least I could do. I didn't know how much he drank last night, but I wanted him to put something in his stomach so he felt at least a little bit better. I was in the middle of finishing the pancakes when Tina showed her face.

"Morning." She grumbled, plopping down at the island. I knew she would end up spending the night. I didn't like her being alone when she was drunk, so she always spent the night at my house after our escapades.

"Morning. You want pancakes?" I asked, grabbing a plate out of the cabinet.

"Yes, please." I assumed Johnny stayed with her, and if he didn't, then he was never going to hear the end of it from me. As if he could read my thoughts, he walked into the kitchen and took a seat next to his fiancé.

"Morning Johnny." I said, putting pancakes and eggs onto plates for both of them.

"Morning, Analeigh." I finished making breakfast and went to go check on Matt. He was still out like a light, and I figured I should wake him up and get some food in his stomach.

"Matt." I whispered and started to shake his arm. He groaned but didn't move. I continued to shake him and say his name.

"You're not going to wake him up that way. He sleeps like he's dead." Johnny said from the doorway. I sighed loudly, wondering how I was going to wake up the large man in my bed.

"What do you recommend?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Pouring water on him." I wasn't that much of a bitch, and I didn't feel like changing the sheets right now, so I settled for smacking his bare arm. He stirred but didn't wake up. Maybe I would have to pour water on him. I bent down so that I was right next to his ear.

"MATT!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. He shot up, and our heads knocked together. I groaned and held my forehead. That definitely wasn't a smart idea.

"Shit, are you okay, Analeigh?" He asked, reaching out for me. I waved him off and took a deep breath. My head was throbbing, and I knew I'd need ice.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I was just trying to let you know that breakfast is ready. I figured you'd want to put something in your stomach." I mumbled, taking a couple steps back from him.

"You made breakfast?" He asked, surprise clear in his voice.

"Uh...yeah? Should I not have?" I asked, eyeing him weirdly. He had said the word breakfast as if it were something foreign.

"No no. It's fine. Just not used to it." He followed me out into the kitchen where Johnny and Tina were destroying their breakfast.

"Pigs." I mumbled, walking over to the stove to make Matt's plate. I handed it to him, and he thanked me before taking a seat on the other side of Johnny.

"So, Analeigh, did you finally lose your virginity?" I choked on the orange juice I was sipping and glared at a smirking Tina. Matt and Johnny were both staring at me with wide eyes.

"Tina!" I screeched, ready to wring her neck.

"You're a virgin?" Johnny asked. I rolled my eyes. Here we go. Now I was going to have to explain this to everyone.

"We didn't have sex, I swear." Matt said, holding his hands up. I let out a huge sigh of relief. My virginity was still intact.

"Awww, that's no fun. What the hell are you still here if you guys didn't have sex?" I needed to get Tina out of here or I was going to choke her.

"I didn't know if you were coming back, and I didn't want to leave Analeigh by herself in case she got sick." Awww. That's too cute. I smiled over at Matt, my cheeks slightly warm. He stayed so that he could take care of me. You don't find too many guys that stay for that.

"Okay, I don't like the way you two are looking at each other. Me and my wonderful fiancé are going to leave. Thanks for breakfast, Ana!" Tina grabbed Johnny and walked out, leaving their dirty dishes. I sighed and put them in the sink. I was used to Tina acting like that, so it didn't bother me anymore.

"Is she always like that?" Matt asked. I nodded.

"She's been like that since we were kids. You get used to it after a while." I busied myself with cleaning their dishes before I took the time toe njoy my breakfast.

"These pancakes are amazing. What did you do to them?" I laughed and shrugged.

"Nothing special. It's just a recipe that my mom taught me. They were my favorite when I was younger, so I made sure that I knew how to make them before I moved out." I finished my breakfast and washed my plate.

"Do you want more?" I asked, noticing that Matt's plate was empty. He shook his head.

"No, but thank you. It was wonderful." I smiled and nodded, grabbing his plate and fork. I washed both items quickly and stuck them in the dish washer.

"So, are you really a virgin?" I was expecting him to ask the question eventually, so it didn't surprise me when he did. I laughed lightly.

"Uh....yeah, I'm still a virgin."

"Are you waiting until you're married?" I shook my head.

"Nope."

"Then what is it?" I shrugged.

"I just haven't found anyone that I've wanted to have sex with. I haven't really been with any guys, but the two that I have been with just never appealed to me that way. For a while, I thought I was a lesbian, but I hate females, so I know that's not it. I just have no desire to have sex with anyone." It was the first time I explained it that way to someone. Tina never gave me the chance, so she didn't understand my reasons behind still being a virgin.

"That makes sense. I've never heard it before, but it makes sense. Well, I applaud you for not being like every female in the world. It's seems like they're getting worse as the years go on." I laughed because he was right. Women were opening their legs for everyone nowadays.

"Me and the guys are having a barbecue tomorrow. Would you like to come?" A barbecue? That sounds interesting....and fun. I smiled.

"Sure."
