Boy I Know

Rage

"Brian Haner and Matthew Sanders, you two will be partnered up together"
Thats been on constant repeat in my head. I can't believe that this is actually happening. Fuck this. Fuck everything.

I grumbled to myself as I parked my car outside my house. The lights were on so my parents were home. Great. I walked up to the house and opened the door. My ears were met by two loud screeching voices.

"Don't you dare shout at me Kate!" I heard my father yell. My parents haven't had the best relationship for the past few months, apparently Dad cheated on Mom, but no one really knows if he did or not.

"I will do what I damn want to, Adam! You cheating bastard! "

Bam.

I heard a loud noise. It sounded like a fist hitting wood, which I'm guessing my dad has just broken another door. As I walked up the stairs I was met by another noise.

"Rosie?" I asked looking down at my younger sister who was sitting on the top step, rocking back and forth, crying her eyes out.

"Matt" She whimpered reaching her arms out to me. Her blotchy face was covered in tiny little water droplets. I was very, very protective over her so I immediately picked her up in my arms and took her to my room. I kicked the door open with my foot and sat her down.

"Hey, shhh" I cooed rubbing my hand up and down her back as she snuggled into my side "C'mon Rose, there's no need to cry. Big girls don't cry." I cringed as I noticed how I just referred to a Fergie song.

"Daddy is really mad.." She sniffled rubbing a hand across her little nose "..again."

I hated how my parents thought it was okay to scream disgusting words at each other infront of a 6 year old. It was not acceptable, not acceptable at all. Another loud crash came from downstairs and Rosie cowered into me, she was shaking. I could feel the anger build up inside me as I slowly lay her down beside me.

"You stay here Rose, I'll be back now."

"Matt where-"

"Shh, just stay here okay? Listen to some of my music of something. I wont be long."

She nodded at me and I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. I stormed down the stairs and took a deep breathe before entering the living room, my shoulders raised high.

"What is going on!?" I yelled walking into the living room, to see my parents screaming at each other like animals.

"Get out, Matthew!" My dad yelled at me, pure rage filled his voice as his crazy eyes met mine.

"No! My little sister, your daughter, is upstairs in my room, crying her eyes out in fear! Because you two idiots wont stop screaming!" My pulse was going crazy as I could hear my heartbeat in my ears.

"W-what.." They both said "We-"

"Save it. You're so caught up in your own little worlds that you haven't even noticed what you're own daughter is going through?!"

They both stepped away from each other, sadness now in both their eyes.

"Matt we're sorry"

"I'm fed up of you're pathetic groveling" I growled, I was not in the mood for any kind of sob story. Not after the day I've had.

My mother gasped in shock at my words as did my father. I spun around on my heel and stomped back upstairs to find Rosie lying flat out on my bed, a little bit of drool dribbling down her cheek. She was asleep. I smiled at her softly and pulled my bedsheet over her small frame. I could hear footsteps behind me. I quickly walked over to my door frame.

"Don't go in." I demanded

"Why?"

"She's sleeping, let her rest. You've put her through enough stress today. Okay?"

Both my parents just walked off in separate directions with their heads hanging low. I hope they stop all this fucking arguing soon, or I'm gonna do something about it.

I was still angry, so the only way I could take out my frustration and rage was at the boxing ring at the gym.

Once I got to the gym I got straight into punching the shit out of one of the punching bags. By the time I was done, a layer of sweat was now covering my body. I gulped down some water and moved onto some bench presses.

"95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100" I panted. I moved onto some kick boxing. I was trying my hardest to keep concentrated on the bag infront of me, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't. I couldn't stop thinking about Brian. I couldn't stop thinking about how the future is going to be like with me and him, I cant stand him but I have to be with him every week for 6 months!

I groaned at the sharp pain that shot through my leg.

This wasn't my lucky year, not my lucky year at all.

Notes

So this chapter, and the next chapter will be a little less about Matt and Brian together, more or less their life's at home and out of school, if you know what I mean? Just to give you a little background stories to their lifes.
