Club Gem

A good month passed after Lola died and things were just starting to go back to normal, I had her ashes back and we were keeping them in the living room so everyone could talk to her. Echo was still always crying out for her and that’s what made me really sad but I was okay. I took off from work for a while and just sat at home and cleaned everything as a coping strategy; Danni understood. But we were both off today and the guys were over, all but Brian; who I hadn’t talked to since I kicked him out of the apartment, I guess he really didn’t want me.
“Hey Meg.” Jimmy said
“Huh?” I asked from the kitchen.
“Brian is here.” He said
“Why?” I asked
“He wants to talk to you.” He said
“About?” I asked popping my head into the room
Everyone shrugged.
“Well he’s not coming in.” I said
“Too late.” Danni said opening the door for him.
He was carrying a box, what the hell?
“What?” I asked
“Can I talk to you?” He asked
I nodded and directed him to my room, he carried the box with him and set it on the bed.
“What’s in there?” I asked
“Open it.” He said
“No, what if it’s a bomb.” I said
“It’s not a god damn bomb.” He growled
I pushed my brows together at him.
“Woman open the mother fucking box.” He said
“You are so hot headed Haner.” I said
He huffed and I walked over to the box and opened it, I stared for a minute and looked over at him.
“For real?” I asked tearing up.
He nodded.
“She’s two, the name she came with is Nugget you can change it. I got her from the shelter because I know you like rescues because they deserve a second chance. Be her second chance, her previous owners put her in a dumpster. She need the kind of love you can give her.” He said
I let out a sob and picked this beautiful tiger cat out of the box, she looked at me for a second and head butted me in the nose letting out the loudest purr.
“I love her already. Thank you.” I said
He nodded and walked over to me.
“Meg.” He said
“I still can’t do no stings Brian.” I said cutting him off.
“If you would shut up for a moment you stubborn woman and let me tell you that I don’t either because I’m falling in love with you you’d stop shutting me out.” He growled.
“What?” I asked shocked.
He looked at me.
“Promise?” I asked
He nodded, I set Nugget down and tackled him to the floor.
“I thought you wanted nothing to do with me.” I said
“I would be so fucking stupid.” He said
He smiled and he pressed his lips to mine so hungrily and ripped at my underwear from under my skirt. I let him so it cause I needed it bad, I was going through some Brian Haner lust limb withdrawls. He pulled his pants to him ankles and shoved into me. I let out a loud moan and he shut me up with a kiss.
“Shh.” He said
I nodded and kept them to myself as he found a rhythm in his strokes, I think this is the best we’ve had yet. The passion was just there and it was so much it was making me so dizzy.
When we finished I composed myself, picked up Nugget and pecked him quickly on the mouth and headed downstairs.
“He got me a cat.” I said as I hit the landing
Danni looked back and tears formed in my eyes.
“Did you have sex with him because he got you a cat?” She asked
“Kind of but no.” I said
“I thought you were done with no strings?” Jimmy asked
“We are, we’re officially a couple.” Brian said coming down the stairs.
I set Nugget down and she went on exploring the apartment.
“A couple?” Danni aske
I nodded.
“Thank fucking heavens, Jesus I thought I was going to explode if it didn’t happen soon.” She said
I laughed and after everything settled matt looked at us.
“What are you two girls doing tonight?” He asked
“We were going to watch the golden God awards.” I said
“Why?” Brian asked
“They’re awesome. Weren’t you guys nominated?” Danni asked
They all nodded.
“So why don’t you two just come with us?” Jimmy asked
“TO the Golden God awards?” I asked
He nodded.
“As our dates.” Brian said
Danni and I just looked at each other excitedly.
