I had scribbled 'Don't leave yet, it's not your time. For as long as I am in your heart I will never, ever leave you. You'll never leave mine. I love you.' Onto the bathroom mirror with eyeliner upon gathering myself together.

After my episode I went straight back to bed, forcing myself to shut down and sleep. I had to see him again, this simply wasn't fair.

All the through the night I was restless, tossing and turning, too hot or too cold, never a happy medium. I wanted to badly to hear his voice caress my ears I was going completely insane. Why me?

I awoke to my phone ringing.

'Hello?'

'Hey, Rory... It's me... Look, I-I'm outside. I know it's a hard time for you but, I have nowhere to go.'

I dressed myself as quickly as possible before running and unlocking the door.

'What happened?!' I asked, seeing the scratches and bruises all over his face.

'She got drunk again.' He sobbed into my shoulder as I held his head tightly. 'She started talking about Jimmy so horribly and I told her to stop but she just got mad.'

I'd never seen this side of Brian before, it was always Jimmy who Brian came to for reassurance, I'd just get the beers, kiss them both on the head and leave them to their own devices as I prepared the spare room and some supper.

I lead him into the living room into the same spot Jimmy always does. He sat and told me the hurtful words that came out of Michelle's mouth as we both teared up together. Michelle was one of my best friends but when she had some alcohol down her the girl could spit venom onto a butterfly.

'I'm sorry to tell you all this, Rory, everyone else is so caught up and you're the closest person to him that I have.'

'You're fine, Brian. We need each other. I dreamt of him you know, when you sent me to sleep. He came to me again.'

I explained my dream to Brian, every single detail from Jimmy's sincere expressions to every breath he took and every word he spoke.

'He came to me too.' Brian paused, making sure I wasn't in a complete dream land. 'I took a nap when I got home a-and he came to me then.' His words were shaking, I could tell he wasn't even sure of himself. I began to play with his hair as he got more comfortable. 'He... He told me to look after you, make sure you're not being silly when he's not around. We have to be there for each other no matter what, he then started drifting and suddenly... He was gone.' He took a deep sigh before preparing himself to tell me more. 'I told Michelle and she's had alot to drink, I told her I had to watch over you, protect you and she just exploded. I felt so bad for not fully believing you earlier, even Jimmy gave me a kick up the ass for that one.'

The sincere look on Brian's face told me that he was sorry, I forgave him. We shared our memories with Jimmy for the next few hours.

'You know, I always imagined you and Jimmy being together forever, you know? Like you'd be sat in your arm chairs laughing at each others farts and the tricks you guys could do with your false teeth. Having children and watching them grow and sharing every piece of the both of you in one, two or even five bodies. Your love for each other is something people can only dream of, I mean, damn, from the way you share loving eye contact to the way you pissed each other off is absolutely perfect in itself. Something only a true man can dream for.'
