~Hey, dipfuck,~ I heard Vengeace chuckle.
I tried to talk.
~No use, man. I decided to show you what’s going to happen to Sarah when you die.~
I was filled with dread.
Almost instantly I was in a grand hall, like a kings hall, with pillars, marble floors and high arched ceilings.
I saw Vengeance holding my head back, standing in what was probably my blood, holding a knife to my throat.
“That was pathetic, Baker!” Shadows laughed. “Gates, grab Sarah! Let them see each other before he dies,” he ordered, sitting back on his large, overdone throne.
Moments later Gates came in, dragging Sarah by her arm.
Somehow she didn’t have a mark on her.
She froze when she saw me.
“Please, don’t do this to him!” She begged, looking at Shadows, her eyes full of tears.
“No. He lost.”
Sarah tried to run to me, but Gates held her back, tightly as she fought against him.
I saw the failure and heartbreak in my eyes and the terror and heartbreak in hers.
Vengeance was just smirking.
“Do it,” Shadows told, him.
Sarah screamed as Vengeance killed me and let me fall into my own blood.
Sarah fell to the ground, staring at me and her shoulders shook as she wept.
Vengeance grinned.
“Took long enough!”
Shadows looked at Sarah.
“Take her into the back,” he told, Gates. “Anti!” He called, out.
“Yes, Master?”
“Clean this up, I don’t want all of this on my floor,” he ordered.
“I always gotta be the one doing shit,” he grumbled, as he walked over to Vengeance, who was holding out cleaning supplies.
“Cheer up, shorty! You get blood!” Vengeance laughed.
“Asshole,” he grumbled.
Next I was in the same room as Sarah.
“Fucking shut up!” Gates yelled, at her as she cried. “You won’t last long if you piss off Shadows. Only he can make you cry now,” he said, smirking.
She tried holding back her cries which just turned into whimpers.
Gates rolled his eyes.
“Hello, Sarah,” Shadows said, closing the large door behind him.
Her eyes widened.
“M-Matt?”
He motioned for Gates to leave.
“Sorry, Sweet lips, I just look like Matthew. The real one is dead, like Zachary. I’m Shadows,” he said, touching the side of her face.
She moved back.
He grabbed her jaw and brought her closer.
“I will make it worse for you if you don’t obey me,” he told, her.
She gulped.
“Will you obey me and not annoy me?”
She nodded, slowly.
“Good,” he said, as he stood.
She nodded slowly, her face full of fear.
I was filled with anger and sorrow as he had his way with her, then left, tossing her clothes at her.
She held back tears as she dressed, bruises already forming on her arms.
She sat, bringing her knees to her chest.
“Zacky,” she whispered, before falling apart.
~This is what will happen when you die,~ Vengeance told, me before I sat up, back in the cell.
“Holy fuck, Zack! What happened?” Johnny asked. Kneeling next to me.
“Vengeance showed me what would happen if I die…”
I wasn’t sure anymore if I could do that. Her face looked worse than whenever Vengeance would torture her.
Brian sat up, quickly.
“I won’t do it! I won’t let Shadows take her!” He said, breathing heavily, almost hyperventilating.
Shit.
“I get it, dude, it’s pretty bad…I won’t try to talk you into it.”
“Good, ‘cause you won’t.”
I looked at Johnny.
“If you end up seeing it too, I won’t make you either.”
“HAH! You guys think you can back out?” Vengeance laughed, leaning against a wall. “It’s not like that, boys! You each challenged us, you each have to fight us, whether you don’t want to anymore or still do! Soon, you all will die!” He laughed, as he started to disappear.
Brian was glaring at the spot her was, then he glared at me.
“Brian, I’m sorry I ki-“
“THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT RIGHT NOW!” He yelled. “YOU GOT ME INTO THIS! KARA AND SARAH ARE SCREWED NOW THANKS TO YOU! YOU ASSHOLE!”
“HEY! I NEVER FORCED YOU INTO THIS! YOU COULD HAVE SAID NO!” I yelled, back.
“Guys! Cool it!” Johnny yelled, standing between us before one of us could hit the other.
“Johnny, move,” Brian growled.
“No! Zack is right! We didn’t have to agree! We chose to help!”
“IT WAS THAT FUCKER’S IDEA!” He yelled.
“AND YOU AGREED!” Johnny yelled, back. “IF YOU TWO IDIOTS BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF EACH OTHER THEN WE WILL DEFINITELY LOSE!”
I glared at Brian as I unclenched my fists.
“Fucking hell,” Johnny grumbled, as he sat down after Brian did the same.
“Fuck!” I coughed, when he punched me in my stomach. “You asshole!” I coughed, before tackling him and punching him.
He pushed me over and punched me.
“IT’S YOUR FUCKING FAULT MY COUSIN’S HERE TOO!” He yelled, before punching my chest.
“AND IT’S YOUR FUCKING FAULT KARA’S HERE!” I yelled, back, sending a right hook punch.
“STAY OUT OF THIS!” We yelled, at Johnny.
Brian tackled and sat on me.
“LEAVE KARA OUT OF THIS!” He yelled, before punching me again.
I punched his dick, making him fall over.
“I’M SORRY I KISSED SARAH! I WISH I HADN’T, BUT I DIDN’T KNOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!” I yelled.
He kicked my dick and I fell to the ground.
“I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE HER ALONE ANYWAYS! I NEVER WANTED YOU TO DATE HER!” He yelled, kicking my side.
“WHY NOT?” I coughed. “YOU KNOW I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO HURT HER! YOU KNOW I FUCKING LOVE HER!” I yelled, after Johnny got Brian’s dick with his shoe.
“You’ve said that before!” He coughed. “How many have you been in love with, Zack? How many have you hurt after realizing you don’t love them?” He asked.
I was silent.
“Exactly, I don’t think you actually love her and I didn’t want her hurt! All you do in relationships is hurt your girlfriends!”
“I know…I’m horrible with that, but it’s different with Sarah…I don’t know how to explain it, but she makes me feel different,” I said.
Brian was silent.
We all stayed in silence for a few hours until Brian finally apologized.
“Sorry, man. You just have a terrible track record and she’s my cousin…and she’s here…”
“I’d be the same,” I said, with a shrug.
