This Life is Filled with Hurt, When Happiness Doesn't Work

The Warmth I Feel Beside Me is Slowly Fading

After her performance yesterday, Onyx was on a new level of happiness. Sure, she was always happy, but today she was even happier. She determined to let everyone as as she went out and about to the book store, which she lived a few blocks away in her small apartment. She skipped around, humming her own little tune. She was used to the laughs and odd looks that people gave her. A grown woman skipping, in public? Apparently it was unheard of. Onyx didn't care. She loved life.

Zacky spotted the skipping girl first. He smirked, deviously at their prey, and he gently shoved his head in command, Shadows, to look in the direction she was. Shadows simply grinned.

“She's a beauty.” That small sentence left his lips in a raspy tone, but it held so many statements. It held Onyx's future.

“Onyx Alzuiry, she's twenty-six, her height is approximately five foot, and she's one hundred ten pounds. She lives in the apartments just north of our coordinates and she lives alone. Her parents don't keep in contact too much, but she is close to them. It doesn't seem she has anymore relatives besides her parents,” Johnny rambled off. Shadows simply nodded as he watched her entire the small book store.

“Gates, Vengeance,” He nodded at the two. They both got out of the car, strolling over, trying their hardest to seem 'normal', to the book store, waiting for their precious prey to come out.

Onyx bounced into the book store. She looked around, trying to find something the she found of mild interest, but when her hopes were failed, she knew it was a good time to leave. She grinned at the book store clerk, as she skipped out. She stopped, briefly to look up at the bright blue sky. That brief moment, was all she needed to be grabbed by the two men, she didn't expect.

Her first instinct was to cry out, but she quickly found her mouth was already covered, and she was in a vehicle. Her thoughts were sent askew, immediately going to how these men were going to kill. How her once peaceful and joyful life was going to end.

Onyx's eyes started to water and her heart twinged painfully. She really didn't have anyone that would worry about her. She lived alone. Her family and her didn't have too much contact, so they wouldn't expect seeing her or hearing from her. This was her worst fear, death, and no one knowing about it.

Her body was at an awkward angle, with her legs up and her face being smothered by the leather seats. She didn't want to move, the fear of being shot right then and there was too much. Though, her comfort was taken in note, as someone's rough hands grabbed her frail waist and put her in a more comfortable position.

Onyx quickly glanced at all the men. Her breath caught in her throat as she noticed these men to be the men at the bar last night. They didn't scare her the night before. And they still don't. She told herself. She was more scared of the thought of losing everything with no one knowing, then of the big hulks that were driving off to who knew where.

“So, Onyx, did you expect this?” She looked to the man to her left. He was tall, lanky, but muscular. He had piercing blue eyes, that caught her attention right away.

“Did I expect this?” Onyx repeated, quietly. The blue eyed man nodded. “Who the fuck would expect this! Being fucking kidnapped? No! I didn't fucking expect this!” She screamed. The other man next to her, the man with snakebites and deep green eyes, turned to her and slapped her hard. Onyx looked stunned for a moment, but no tears pricked her eyes. She simply turned her head to the man who slapped her. Onyx's bright hazel eyes, darkened, to a sinister level as her lips curled into a cruel smile.

“Who the hell do you think you are? How do you think you can get away with slapping a young lady?” Onyx's voice was cold, any notion that she was previously happy, that she had a good life, was gone. A new, bestial Onyx had arose and wasn't pleased with it.

The snakebitten man, simply smirked as he slapped her again, harder this time. The sound echoed in her ears. It felt as if her whole head was rattling. She couldn't make out what the men were saying anymore. She barely could make out what she could see. Her vision blurred then turned black, as this welcomed unconsciousness swarmed over her.

Another chapter. I know this story isn't amazing, but still give it a shot.
