I Killed Them

Drinking and Driving

I sighed, picking up my car keys and shoving them into my pocket. The day had been exhausting and I couldn't wait to get home and actually see someone of my own sex, even if that was my annoying twenty year old sister.

"Where are you going tonight?" Jimmy asked, walking backwards in front of me and widening his eyes.

"Home, I'm tired, man."

"No, come to my place. We're all gonna have a beer and chill," he made a fist and bit his bottom lip, causing me to slightly laugh.

"Oh, Jimmy-,"

"Come on, you wanna fit in, don't you? Just come hang with us and when they see you're cool they'll let you hang."

"I've never even had beer before. Plus, I just wanna fit in at work."

"Well there's a first time for everything. Just follow my car, okay?"

I had attempted calling after him but he kept smiling and interupting my words with random sentences. I rolled my eyes, making my way to my car. It was already dark and I didn't want my father to worry. I grabbed my cellphone, texting him just to let him know that I'd be home late. Joe had already left and Brian was closing up. I got into my car and started it, backing up to follow Jimmy's dark red convertible.

If only I had a car like that.

I followed until we arrived at a somewhat big house. It was obvious that people were already there since the lights were on. Jimmy got out of the car and acted as if he was surprised that I had come.

"You came?!"

"Jimmy, no need to act as if you didn't notice. You stopped whenever the lights were yellow just so you wouldn't leave me behind."

"W-what? No. Why would I do that?" he laughed, putting his arm around my shoulder and walking me to his home. We walked through the back, avoiding his barking dogs and I was fronted with a pool. It was gorgeous. It lit up in blue like they did in movies.

"Why the hell do you work in that auto shop?"

"Because, my dad gave me the house but I need to work for a living. I'm not gonna act like a spoiled trick."

"That's good." I whispered, looking around at the perfectly clean backyard.

"Yo." a voice from behind me was heard. I turned around and saw that it was Brian. He shot me a glare and then walked into the house.

"What's his deal?" I asked Jimmy.

"He's just horny."

I laughed at his remark and followed him into the house. It was super clean. Not to sound mean but I didn't expect it from a guy. He seemed like someone who would just wake up in the morning and throw on any t-shirt. His kitchen was huge and his refrigerator was of the latest model. However, it was only filled with beer and a cake that was half eaten.

Brian sat on the couch and turned on the TV.

"Go talk to him." Jimmy whispered.

"He scares me." I laughed.

"Don't be scared of that bastard. He seems scary but he's cool. His girlfriend cheated on him so he's kind of silent lately." he whispered.

"But not with his body. He nearly raped me with his clothes on at work." I giggled.

"That's not like him so I wouldn't know. He probably just thinks your hot. Not too many Hispanic girls around here and God knows he wishes he'd get with one."

"Not with this one."

"Go." he whispered once more. I walked towards him, awkward but trying to look tough.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Hey, Ellie," he said, pointing his finger at my name tag.

"Yep. And you're Brian," I replied, doing the same.

"Yeah. What do you want to watch?"

"I don't know. I don't watch much television."

"You're weird then."

"I mean, I watch stuff on the internet but I don't really know what's on TV."

I laid my head on the couch, watching him switch the channel every now and then. Finally, he came across a movie and desided to leave it on.

"Have you ever watched this?"

"No, what is it?"

"It's funny, just wait."

A woman with long black hair seemed to be making out with a guy. But as the camera got closer, you could see her covered in blood, feeding off the guy. I screamed, causing Brian to jump.

"What the f-," he stopped himself.

"Sorry, I can't watch scary movies."

"Why the hell not?"

"Because I-I can't sleep at night."

"I'll take it off."

"I thought you said it was funny."

"It is. It's freaking Jennifer's Body. It's a comedy."

I sighed and we both sat quietly. I noticed him smile and nod his head. He finally put on some stupid show and he passed me a beer. Okay, I've got to seem cool, I thought to myself, what guy would think that some chick that has never had a beer is nice and cool? I took a sip and placed it between my thighs.

"Your first time?"

"No." I snorted.

"No one drinks beer like that. You hardly tasted it."

"Okay, it's my first time. But I've had wine before."

"What kind?"

"I don't know."

"You probably had grape juice."

I rolled my eyes, picking up the beer and chugging it down. I felt weird and light headed as soon as I placed it back down.

"You shouldn't have done that." he said.

"I'm going home."

"You can't drive like that. It's your first beer and you already look weird."

"I'm fine, okay?" I said, walking into the kitchen, ignoring how weird I felt. I hugged Jimmy who laughed.

"What are you laughing about?" I asked him.

"You're still hugging me. You can't drive like that, love. I have a few rooms upstairs, you can stay in one of those."

"Dude, I just met you. It wouldn't look right. I would seem like a whore. Remember, I'm trying to be cool." I smiled. I grabbed another beer and drank some, finally I came to the conclusion that I was drunk. Damn, I'm a lightweight.

"Brian, take her."

"Dude, I'm fine." I insisted, taking a shot Jimmy had laid out and drinking it down. I clenched my throat at it's burning taste.

"Who the hell is gonna bring me back?" Brian asked.

"Ellie, is it okay if he takes your car and picks you up tomorrow?"

"Sure. As long as I see a woman tonight."

"You're a lesbian?"

"No, silly, I've been surrounded my men all freaking day. I wanna see a girl."

Brian laughed. I started walking out and slightly tripped.

"Watch out!" Brian yelled, grabbing my arm and helping me up.

"I've never seen someone who gets drunk so easily. Brian, don't try anything. She's like a daughter to Joe and you wouldn't wanna die, right?" Jimmy walked behind us.

I looked at Brian who starred at me oddly. Kind of as if I was crap he had stepped on.

"Don't worry. Any sex appeal I may have had towards this one is gone."

"Hey! I'm a babe. An uter babe." I laughed.

He helped me to my car and sat me in the back.

"Don't start flopping around." he said with a serious face.

"I've never been back here."

"Yeah. Well, welcome."

He shoved his hands in my front pocket, causing me to slightly jump. He took my keys and got out, closing the back door behind him. He got into the driver's seat and turned the car on. He drove fast. He was drifting around corners and I would constantly fall off the seat.

"Wait, I was going to my house," he sighed, hitting the wheel, "Where do you live?"

"I live in Disney Land."

"Seriously, I'm gonna have to call Joe. Fuck."

"Call him. I don't wanna stay with you. Freaking breathing down my back like some hot air balloon that's been disinflated."

He looked at me and took out his phone.

"Joe? Can I leave Ellie at your house. She's freaking drunk after one beer and I have no idea where she lives."

PLEASE, if you see any errors, let me know. Thanks so much.

Well, I can relate to Ellie in the fact that I don't drink, so I got pretty tipsy after having just one bottle of whatever I drank once. Fun, fun.

Again, quite interesting. =)
