“You tired?” Brian asked, sitting down beside me.
The others had already left and it was just us two.
I nodded and he led me upstairs to his room. I collapsed on the bed as he shut the door behind him. He stood there for a moment looking at me.
“What?” I yawned.
He smirked.
“Nothin.”
He came over and sat down on the bed beside me. I looked up at him.
“Thank you for coming and getting me.”
He smiled and nodded and then crawled on the other side of me, pulling the cover over both of us. It was a little chilly in the room. I guess being a vampire you really didn’t get cold.
“You cold?”
I smirked.
“I’m fine now, thank you.”
I closed my eyes and we laid there for a minute. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
“I like you being here with me.” I whispered in my ear.
His cool breath tickled my neck as I felt him kiss my neck. I smiled to myself at the feeling. I felt safe in his arms, even though I knew he could break me in two if he wanted and that kiss on the neck could turn into a deadly bite in the matter of a second. But I didn’t care. Something about him made me want to know more about him. I barely knew him, but I longed to know more.
“Me too.”
“Would you ever stay with me?”
I rolled over to face him.
“Liked all the time?”
He nodded.
“Well, that depends.”
“Oh what?” He questioned, seriously raising an eyebrow.
I snorted.
“Well, depends on if I’d get to know you more. I mean I barely know you, this is crazy.”
“What’s crazy?”
I felt my cheeks get warm and I cleared my throat.
“Whatever it is we got going on here.”
He smiled and brushed a piece of hair out of my face.
“And what do we have going on here?”
I shrugged.
“Tell me…”
I was quiet for a moment trying to figure out the best way to say it.
“I like being with you…”
“I like being with you, too.”
“Why?”
He shrugged and smirked lightly.
“Tell me…”
He shook his head.
“Not till you tell me.”
I rolled my eyes and I sighed deeply.
He sat there looking at me, waiting for my answer.
“Because…I…” I began, taking a deep breath.
“I want to know more about you. I want to know why I want to be around you all the time and I want to know why you wanted me in the first place.” I said, quickly.
He just looked at me and my face got even redder.
“I mean, it’s crazy i…”
“I wanted you, because the moment I saw you, it was like a magnet. I had to have more of you. I wanted to know everything about you that I could.”
I was taken back.
“Did you follow me a lot…”
“I did.”
“And what did you find out exactly?”
He smirked.
“I found out that you were a very beautiful girl that spends her nights alone and you don’t like it. The only friend you have really is Sam and you love horror movies.”
I was expecting something I little deeper.
“That’s all?”
He suddenly crawled on top of me.
“You want someone there with you while you laid there in your bed at night.”
I starred up into his big brown eyes.
“I…I felt like I need to be with you…I never felt what I felt for you when I saw you….”
My heart sped up. This wasn’t a picture perfect romance. Looking back, I remember thinking I was glad he did deep down. He gave excitement to my life that I had never had before. I needed it. I needed him.
He leaned down and placed a kiss on my lips, then pulled back looking down at me. My heart felt like it was going a hundred miles a minute as he smiled at me. He lay back down beside me and pulled me close to him. I lay on his chest and closed my eyes. I felt his cool fingers gently caress me face, putting me to sleep.
“Don’t leave me…” I thought I heard, as I drifted off into a deep slumber.
