We are not in silence long, before Zacky pipes up, “Are you ok?”

Confused, I reply, “Yeah. Why? What’s up?”

Zacky sighs, and slides his hand through his hair, and struggles to find something to say. I smile at him sweetly.

“What is it? Just go ahead and tell me.” I say with a reassuring tone.

“How old are you?” he finally asks.
With a coy smile, I reply, “Old enough.”
He rolls his eyes playfully, “That’s not what I meant.” Zacky says, with a hint of humour in his voice.

“I’m 19.” I say. “Why? Is that a problem?”

“No, I thought you would worry what others thought.” He said sweetly.

“Do I look like the kind of girl who gives a fuck what others think?” I ask.

“No. Not at all.” He says with a smile.

“I believe that if someone is over 18, they are well within their rights to date whoever they choose, given that they are also over 18. Society seems to accept that an 84 year old man is allowed to marry a 24 year old woman, why would it not be acceptable for someone like me, to be with someone like you? Is age a problem for you?”

“No. I just wanted to make sure you were over 18, and lucky for us, you are.” And there is that cocky smile again.

“Us?” I raise my eyebrow.

“Ah, sorry. I didn’t mean it like that, I just-” I cut him off.

“I know I’m just being a bitch. Relax!” I say, as I go back to the movie, “I don’t bite… hard.” I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face.

“Is that so?” I don’t look up from the movie. I can feel his huge grin looking at me.

“Why did you want to know how old I was?” I question.

“I knew you were a younger woman, I just wanted to know if age was an issue with you.”

“Is it an issue with you?”

“Surprisingly, no.” He smiles.

“Why is that surprising?” I become more inquisitive.

“I’m never really attracted to women that are younger than me. Never seemed like something I’d…” he pauses.

“Do.” I answer.

“Yeah…” there is a long pause. “God! What is it about you that makes me feel like I’m a teenager again?”

“I have that effect on people. I’m not quite sure what it is either.”
We both chuckle, and yet another movie cliché. Our eyes lock on to one another, and I feel the sudden urge to kiss him again.

Before I do anything else, I interrupt, “What is it about you that makes me feel like this?”

“Like what?”

“Like I have no control over what I’m doing.”

“I have that effect on people. I’m not quite sure what it is either.”
I smile, and yet again, I find my lips locking with Zacky’s, and no more am I in control of what I do. How is this happening? What is he doing to me? I have never been so helpless and out of control. His hand reaches up and caresses my cheek again. Our eyes meet, my heart starts to race, and my breathing becomes more rapid. What the fuck is happening! Since when do I get butterflies? I’ve kissed people before, and none of them had this kind of effect on me.
The kiss! So sweet, so breathtaking.

“What are you doing to me Vengeance?” I breathe.

“The same thing you’re doing to me Gee.”
