Matt’s P.O.V
“Where the fuck is she?” I whispered to Brian while Zacky and Johnny talked to the crowd.
“I don’t know man, Nikki said she would be on the bus if she didn’t come here,” I looked to the stage side where Nikki was standing alone, she smiled sympathetically and shrugged.
“Alright, we got enough time for two more songs and then our boys from Peirce the Veil are gonna come out here and rock your fucking world!” I yelled into the microphone and the crowd went fucking mental.
After playing Unholy Confessions and finishing with A Little Piece Of Heaven – which always made me think of Riley, since she helped with writing and recording, we were done and switched with Peirce The Veil, we were friends with the guys so we decided to shower and then watch them on the TV from our room and wait on Riley, Nikki had warned me that when Riley is pissed off and pregnant to leave her to come around to something, so I would wait for her.
After almost an hour the guys were finishing their set, they’d played amazingly as always.
“Alright guys, we’ve got a little surprise for you all, this girl has been a great fucking friend of ours since we were first starting out, we hadn’t seen her in a while until tonight, she’s a little knocked up right now, but she agreed to come out her and sing our last song with me,” Vic announced and the crowd, once again, went nuts, then Riley walked out onto the stage.
She looked amazing, she was glowing, round, adorable and dressed in a black button up dress and black combat boots, her red hair was in bouncy waves over her shoulders, her tattoos on display and I noticed she had added a few more to her body.
The intro for King For A Day started and I didn’t really listen until I heard Riley sing, I’d heard her before, but from far away when she would sing on her front porch at her dad’s place but never like this.
“Please won’t you push me for the last time, let’s scream until there’s nothing, so sick of lying I don’t want this anymore, the thought of you is no fucking fun, you want a martyr I’ll be one, because enough’s enough we’re done,” Her voice was amazing, she looked amazing out there on stage just rocking the fuck out, all pregnant and shit.
After the song ended the guys, Nikki and I rushed to the bus before Riley saw us, we were hanging around, looking like we’d been on the bus the whole time, I was watching Jimmy and Johnny playing CoD while nursing a beer when I heard Riley outside laughing with the guys.
Riley’s P.O.V
“Alright guys, I’ll see you when I see you, you got my number right?” I asked the guys and they all nodded and slipped their phones into their pockets, I hugged them all goodbye and walked onto the bus and was instantly greeted by everyone, Nikki hugged me and rubbed my stomach, Jimmy made a fat joke which earned him multiple punches on his arms and chest from the guys and Nikki, Matt was the only one who didn’t speak to me, he just stood and watched me while sipping his beer.
“Riley, can I talk to you in the back for a minute?” Matt asked, setting down his beer and giving me a pleading look.
“Sure,” I shrugged and followed him to the back of the bus where all of the bunks were a heard the cat calls and cheers from the guys but I just flipped them the bird with a sarcastic smirk and followed Matt.
“Alright, what did you want to talk about?” I asked, sitting down on his bunk beside him.
“The baby, you, me, us,” He said, looking down at his hands, I sighed.
“Matt, there is no us, and just because there’s a kid involved now, doesn’t mean we’re getting back together right now, you hurt me bad sleeping with Val since you’ve been on tour, and I don’t forgive easily,” He looked like he was about to cry, he looked so guilty, I smiled “But you can work on it, show me you care,” He perked up and looked at me, right into my eyes.
“I’ll prove it, I’ll prove the shit out of it, I haven’t stopped thinking about this since you showed up, I still love you, and now I love this baby too, I always wanted kids with the woman I love, that woman is you and here’s the baby,” He rubbed my belly and the baby gave a light kick “I love you both, and I’m going to be there for you through all of this,”
“I made an appointment for a doctor over here, it’s tomorrow, you’ll get to see the baby, hear the heartbeat and know how everything’s getting on, you wanna come?” I asked and he nodded his head furiously.
“Yes, of course I want to come!” He exclaimed.
“Dude, we didn’t need to know what!” Brian called through the door and I burst out laughing hysterically while Matt just looked embarrassed
