Well Look What We Have Here
“I gotta get outta here,” I breathed, running a hand through my hair “Call me when they leave?” I asked Nikki as I walked past her, she nodded with a sympathetic smile, she knew not to follow me, that I needed my space.
As I walked through all of the tour busses of the bands that were also on tour I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialled my mom’s number.
“Hello?” My mother’s came through the phone making me smile.
“Hey mom,” I said, calming down already.
“Hey baby, how are you doing? How’s my grandbaby?” She asked, suddenly sounding more awake than when she first answered the phone.
“I’m alright, the baby kicked for the first time,” I heard her gasp before asking what made it kick “Hearing daddy’s voice for the first time,” I choked out, with my hormones all over the place I couldn’t control my emotions.
“You’re with Matt?”
“I was, we got into a fight though, not about the baby though…”
“What was the fight about? I know that’s why you called,”
“He fucked Val, mom,”
“Oh honey,” She sighed sympathetically.
“Mom, no, I didn’t call for sympathy, or to be told that everything will work out, I just have to vent a little, okay?”
“Okay, go for it, I’m listening,”
I spend around half an hour on the phone with my mom ranting about Matt and how much I hated Val, that I should have told him as soon as I found out and maybe they hadn’t happened, I didn’t know if they were together which only confused me further, after catching up on things with mom, who was now staying in Washington for a while, we said our goodbyes, I got a text from Nikki saying she’d tried to call but the line was engaged, to tell mom hi and that the guys had left to set up and she’d gone with them, I’d speak to Matt in the morning.
I was walking back through all of the busses, passing ones such as Slipknot, BVB, Pierce the Veil and Bullet, I was almost at the Avenged bus when I felt someone standing behind me.
“Well look what we have here,”
