Riley’s P.O.V
I was sore… no, I was beyond sore, we’d arrived at the hospital about half an hour ago, I hadn’t seen my babies since and nobody would tell me anything, I was scared to say the least, they were over a month early and they had been so tiny when I saw them. I’d had to have stitches down below which was uncomfortable and I was still kinda drugged up on painkillers.
“Miss Richards?” A nurse asked, peeking her head through the door, I put my phone down on the table beside me and smiled at her “Would you like to see your sons?” She asked.
“They’re alright?” I asked quickly, excitement obvious in my voice.
“Have a look for yourself,” She opened the door wider and pushed in a plastic crib with both of my babies in it, they wore matching blue hats and were wrapped in cream blankets, they were tiny, wrinkly and bright pink, I asked the nurse to hand me my feeding pillow from the chair, she did so and placed it on me so it wrapped around my front before placing one baby in each arm “I’ll give you a minute,” She said kindly as tears filled my eyes as I looked down at my little miracles.
“Hey boys, I’m your momma,” I cooed “Yes, I am,” They gurgled and wriggled around, I started to cry silently “I love you both so much, I have waited so long to meet you, and I’m going to love you both with ever bone in my body,” I sniffled and continued to talk to them, unaware of anyone standing in the doorway “You’re both so gorgeous, you look just like your daddy, you’re both going to be so smart, and you’ll have all the girls, but no one will ever be good enough for my little boys,” They started to cry a little bit and I smiled as more tears fell “Well, if you’re going to cry,” I sniffed and started to rock from side to side slightly on the bed, as I cried and hummed a little tune to put them back to sleep.
“Hey baby,” Matt said from the door, making me jump a little “How are you doing?” He asked.
“Sore, but apart from that, I’m wonderful,” I told him honestly with a huge smile as I gazed down at the sleeping gurgling babies in my arms “They’re so wise, can’t you tell, they’re wise,” Matt sat on the bed beside me and looked at them too before agreeing with me.
“Have you thought about names yet?” He asked.
“I have one picked out for this little guy,” I said, nodding to the baby in my right arm, the first baby out.
“And what would that be?” Matt asked.
“Brandon Tyler Sanders” I told him as I looked up into his hazel eyes.
“I love it, and I love you,” He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine “I have the other name,” I asked him what it was “Jaxon Spencer Sanders,”
“It’s perfect,”
“You’re perfect,”
“They’re perfect,”
