Chapter Thirty-One
Brayden’s due date is two days away and she’s been staying in the house because a fuck ton of people just keep taking pictures of her and now she’s getting stir crazy so Val is coming to get her and the two of them are going to go do something. While they are out doing that Matt and I will be setting up the nursery. “Baby Val is here.” I said
Brayden waddled down the stairs and I hugged her.
“Have fun today.” I said
“You too” She said
I kissed her nose and then they left. Matt came in and smiled at me.
“Val and I have stopped trying for a baby.” He said
“How come?” I asked
“Well Brayden is nine months and Madison is six months. After Payson is born you, Val and Brayden are going to be planning a wedding, then Madison will have her son, then you’ll get married go on your honeymoon and come back. After all of that is done we’ll probably start trying to have a baby again.” He said
“I see, I see.” I said
He nodded.
“Ready to get this nursery together?” He asked
“You bet.” I said
We laughed and grabbed a beer each and walked upstairs. We began right away and about three hours later we were done.
“I’m guessing this was your input?” Matt asked touching the ducky themed bedding in the crib.
“Actually Larry’s wife got that for us.” I said
“Oh well it fits.” He said
I nodded and smiled.
There was a knock at the door, Matt and I both went down to see who it was. There was a man standing there.
“Can I help you?” I asked
“I’m looking for a Brayden Winchester.” He said
“What are you to her?” Matt asked
“I’m Hank Winchester.” He said
Hank… Hank… Why was that name familiar?
“You have no business being here.” Matt said
“I’m her father, I have every right to be here.” He said
Matt and I stepped out of the house and stood in front of the man. He was only a little smaller than us.
“You have no right to be here.” I said
“Why do you have a say?” He asked
“Because she’s marring me and I will keep her safe.” I said
“Hmm married. Now what do you do sir?” He asked me
What the fuck was he doing.
“I’m in a band.” I said
“A popular one?” He asked
“Yeah.” Matt said
“Which one?” He asked
“You don’t need to know that. Now get off of my propriety and stay the fuck away from my fiancée.” I growled
“You protect her like she’s worth something. Like she’s the mother of your child.” He said
I stared at him balling my fists.
“She will is the mother of your child. Look her right on Twitter. Jimmy Sullivan’s fiancée pregnant.” He said “Leave us alone.” I growled
“I’ll just find her.” He said
“I’ll personally hunt you down. Every single cop in town knows me buddy, me and Brayden and they won’t hesitate to let me beat the fuck out of you.” I said
He looked a little nervous.
“Stay away.” I growled.
He stepped and took a swing at me. I caught his fist and punched him in the face.
“Run." Matt said
He ran to his car got in and took off.
“Fuck bag.” Matt said
I huffed and slammed the front door.
“Let’s play Halo and you can calm down.” Matt said
I nodded and we started playing Halo. About an hour later Matt’s phone started ringing.
“Hello?” He answered just putting it on speaker.
“Where’s Jimmy and why isn’t he answering his phone? I’ve called six times.” Val said
“Sorry it’s in the bedroom. What’s going on?” I asked
“Jimmy?” Brayden asked
“Yep?” I asked
“My water broke about five minutes ago and I’m in labor.” She said
I looked at Matt.
