Chapter Twenty-Eight
Jimmy was beaming at the news that we were going to have a daughter.
“Happy?” I asked
“Very.” He said
I leaned over and kissed him, he put his hands on my baby bump.
“Hi baby girl this is your daddy. I can’t wait to meet you in three months.” He said
I smiled and looked around at everyone; they were watching Jimmy in awe. I yawned and he looked at me.
“You ready to go home?” He asked
I nodded and he helped me stand up, we walked out to his car and he drove us home.
“Let’s go cuddle in bed and watch a movie.” He said
“Well try our best to cuddle. Payson likes to get in the way.” I smiled.
He smiled and locked the front door and we walked up to our room.
“We can actually do something with the guest room now.” He smiled
“Nursery?” I asked
“Yep.” He smiled
I smiled and stripped out of the clothes I was wearing and looked at myself in the mirror. My tummy was big but thankfully I didn’t have stretch marks. I thought I looked absolutely gross. I felt hands come around my belly and kisses being planted on my shoulder.
“Do you know what I see in the mirror?” He asked
“What?” I asked
“A family. The beautiful fiancée carrying their beautiful daughter and the guy who’s always thinking what he did right to get the perfect girl. He may be a goofball and really dirty minded but she deals with him. It’s our perfect family.” He said
I had a tear run down my cheek.
“Jimmy.” I said
“Yes baby girl?” He asked
“I fucking love you.” I said turning around to hug him
“I love you too baby.” He said kissing the top of my head.
I pulled away from the hug and walked over to the dresser and got out a pair of his sweat pants and one of my maternity tank tops. He smiled and stripped down to his boxers and put a movie in.
“What movie?” I asked
“Pirates of the Caribbean.” He said
I smiled and we got into the bed.
“I think we should get married to that part in A little Piece of Heaven.” He said
“Where the creeptastic voice comes on?” I asked
He nodded
“That’d be awesome.” I said
He smiled.
“We’ll think more about it when we got to plan the wedding.” I said
“Definitely.” He smiled
“So does anyone know about this?” I asked
“You being pregnant?” He asked
“Or the engagement.” I said
“Nope. I’m pretty sure some will find out at the show tomorrow and they’ll spread it around.” He said
“There’s a show tomorrow?” I asked
“Yeah, we just found out a few days ago.” He said
I nodded.
“Am I invited?” I asked
“Nope my girlfriends coming.” He smiled
“Well tell her she can carry this thing.” I laughed
“How do you know she’s not?” He asked
I raised an eyebrow.
“You’re my one and only Brayden.” He said
“Your fan base knows me as the runaway girl from Ohio that you picked up on the side of the freeway.” I said
“Not for long. They’ll know you as the girl that took The Rev off the market.” He smiled
I laughed and he kissed my nose.
“So tomorrow at the show they’ll find out.” I said
“Yeah and it’s a smaller show but merch will still be sold” He said
“Who’s selling the merch?” I asked
“Val and you if you’re up to it.” He said
“This is how they’ll find out.” I said
“Probably.” He smiled
“Some of your fans are going to hate me.” I said
“Nah.” He laughed
He played with my engagement ring and I slowly fell asleep.
“Baby mama wake up.” I heard being whispered into my ear
“You did not just say baby mama.” I mumbled
“I did.” He said
“Why am I getting up?” I asked
“Because your pregnant ass slept all day and it’s time for us to get ready for the show.” He said
I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes.
“I’m sorry but I’m just so tired all the time.” I said
“It’s a part of being pregnant. Now go shower and dress cute.” He said
“Nah I thought about going naked.” I laughed getting out of the bed.
“I’d totally be okay with that if it were just me at the concert.” He said
I laughed and he kissed my forehead and I walked into the bathroom. My shower wasn’t that long so when I got out I put my underwear and bra on and toweled off my hair. I walked out of the bathroom.
“That’s not as bad as naked.” He said
I smiled. “I didn’t take clothes in with me. What should I wear?” I asked
“I think you should wear the black maternity dress.” He said
“The one that’s tighter.” I said
“Yeah, I mean you won’t be able to wear it much longer.” He said
I nodded and went to walk into the closet but Payson started kicking so I flinched and doubled over a bit, I was not in the mood for this right now.
“She kicking?” He asked
I nodded and he got down on his knees and held my belly in his hands.
“Payson don’t kick so hard baby it hurts your mommy.” He said into my belly.
The kicking became a lot softer and she eventually stopped. He kissed my stomach and stood up and kissed me.
“It’s your voice I swear it calms her down.” I said
He flashed a cheesy smile and I grabbed the dress out of the closet and pulled it over my head. I grabbed my red TOMS and slid them on.
“This dress makes me look like I’m carrying twins.” I said
“You looked adorable. Come on the guys are outside.” He said
“Is there a meet and greet?” I asked
“After the show.” He said
I nodded and we walked out and I got into the back of the SUV with Johnny and Jimmy.
“Hey mama.” Val said from the front seat.
“Howdy.” I smiled
“Are you helping with Merch?” She asked
“You bet.” I smiled
“Get ready for questions.” Zacky said
I nodded. We pulled up the venue and Jimmy helped Val and I set up the merch table.
“I’ll see you two at the meet and greet.” He said kissing our foreheads.
“He’s such a sweet guy.” Val said
I nodded. She unfolded a chair and made me sit.
“I can’t wait until you pop Payson out. Then we get to plan your wedding and then I get her for your guy’s honeymoon.” She smiled
I smiled back at her.
“Get ready girls we’re letting them in.” The manager said
I nodded and looked at Val. The fans we let in and they lined up at the merch table.
“What would you like?” I asked the girl in front of me
“I would like that shirt in a large, that rubber bracelet and the lanyard.” She said
I nodded and stood up from my chair and grabbed what she needed. She paid and just stared at my belly.
“Val.” I said
“Yes mama?” She said
“She’s kicking.” I said
“Oh I gotta feel.” She said excitedly. “One minute hun.” She said to the girl buying merch.
She came over and pressed her hands to my belly and then smiled.
“That is an odd feeling.” She said
“Imagine it inside of you.” I laughed
She went back to the girl and I started with a few new ones. The line was drawing short and some girls asked me about the baby and some asked me about the engagement ring. When I answered they went straight to their phones. They were all giving me gate stares. There were four girls left in line and then the show would start.
“What can I get you?” I asked
“Four lanyards for us and that’s it.” The tallest one said
I nodded and got them for her, she paid.
“Can we also get pictures with you and Val?” She asked
“No problem.” I said
I walked around the table and the one closest to me gasped.
“Are you having The Rev’s baby?” She asked
I nodded
“That’s so cute.” She cooed
“Want to feel it kick?” I asked
She nodded and I took her hands and pressed them to my belly. She smiled and all the other girls felt as well. We took all of the pictures.
“Congratulations on the baby and the engagement.” The tallest one said as they walked into the venue.
Val and I closed everything down and put it in the back of the managers pickup truck.
“Let’s get some water and go set up the meet and greet table.” Val said
I nodded and we walked and got two water bottles and then walked to where the meet and greet was going to happen. We set up the tabled and chairs and I sat down.
“Payson makes me so tired.” I said
“Well when we get home you can sleep for the rest of the day.” Val said
“Wake me up for dinner?” I asked
“Yes.” She smiled
I smiled.
“I’ll be right back.” She said
I nodded and took a drink of my water. When she came back she had two sandwiches in her hands.
“Peanut butter and pickles for my pregnant friend.” She said handing me mine.
I craved the weirdest things.
We ate the food and listened to the concert. About twenty minutes after we had finished eating the concert ended and the boys filed to where we were.
“You girls didn’t do this did you?” Matt asked
“No.” Val said
“Good.” He said
“How’s my baby girl?” Jimmy asked
“I’m good.” I said
“Not you Payson.” He said
“Oh well fine then.” I smiled
“I’m kidding baby.” He said kissing me
“You taste like peanut butter.” He said
I smiled and he sat down pulling me onto his lap, he laid his head on my back.
“That’s gross Jimmy you’re all sweaty.” I said
“Can you feel it through the fabric?” He asked rubbing his head around
“Yes gross oh my gosh stop.” I said
“Can I have a drink of that?” He asked
I handed him my water bottle and he chugged it all.
“You said a drink.” I whined
“I love you.” He smiled
“I love you too.” I said
The meet and greet started and every girl was glaring at me and then near the end after constant glares and so many autographs and pictures with the guys the day was over and I was half asleep on Jimmy’s lap. I felt myself get raised off the ground and carried to the car. How did he do this without breaking his back? I woke up and bit and enough to walked into the house when they dropped us off. I walked in and we walked upstairs, I stripped off the dress and laid down in the bed.
“Go shower stinky.” I said
“Yes master.” Jimmy said
“Goober.” I said
“A cute one.” He said
I nodded and I heard the shower kick on and I fell asleep.
