Chapter Twenty-One
“I’m going to be a daddy!!!!” I yelled with the biggest grin on my face.
I looked at Brayden and she looked relieved with my happiness but she also was smiling like an idiot.
“Like we need a spawn of the hyper giant around.” Johnny whined
“Can it short shit! This is fantastic.” Val said smiling
I looked around and Matt looked happy and so did Zack but Brian looked a bit unsure but was faking some happiness.
“How far along are you Brayden?” Val asked
“About two months actually. I wasn’t really paying attention to my periods but when I noticed I missed one I couldn’t recall when I last had one so I went to the clinic and they told me I was about two months pregnant so yeah.” She said
“The test?” Zacky asked
“She took one because she was worried about telling Jimmy so she decided to show him.” Madison said “Did you know about this?” I asked
“Yeah for about a week. We decided to wait until Christmas.” Madison said
“One of the best gifts I’ve ever gotten.” I said
“What was the other one?” Matt asked
“Yeah we usually just get you sticks or beer.” Zacky said
“He’s cheesy guys he’s talking about Brayden.” Brian smiled
“How’d you know?” I asked
“Brian Elwin Haner Jr. knows his best friend.” Brian said
“James Owen Sullivan knows and loves his best friend as well. “ Jimmy said
“Good.” Brian, Matt, Zacky, and Johnny said at the same time.
“Johnny are you ready?” Val asked
“I’m not doing it.” He protested.
Val looked at Madison and Madison looked at Brayden and they all smiled at each other. Johnny looked scared when they all got up and started to drag him to the other room where no one could see him. I looked at Brian, Matt and Zack and they all looked about as confused as I was. We listened to Johnny struggle.
“Don’t swing at the pregnant girl.” Brayden said
“Just do it Johnny. The fast this happens the faster it ends.” Val said
“That sounds inappropriate Val.” Madison said
“I don’t like this!” Johnny yelled
“That was my ear!” Val whined
“I don’t like this. It’s tight.” Johnny said
“That’s what he said!” I called out
“Shut it Jimmy!” Johnny said
“They supposed to be tight.” Bray said
“That’s what she said!” Brian yelled out.
“Brian!” Madison squealed Brian laughed.
“You can see my junk.” Johnny said
“I’d need a microscope.” Brayden said
I couldn’t help but laugh.
“You guys ready?” Brayden asked coming into the living room
We nodded and she walked back into the other room and her, Val, and Madison pushed Johnny out into the living room. He was in an elf outfit with green tights, black elf shoes, a red elf coat and a red elf hat. I laughed and Brian was on the floor because he was laughing so hard.
“Who thought of this?” I laughed
Val and Madison pointed at Bray and she bowed.
“That’s priceless. Why didn’t we think of this?” I asked myself
Matt was clapping like a seal and wasn’t making any noise he was laughing so hard.
The day went on and we went and took a picture with Santa, well the girls didn’t. Brayden and I were cuddling in bed watching A Christmas Story.
“Are you excited?” I asked
“About?” She yawned
“The baby?” I asked
“Yeah. I was so scared to tell you Jimmy.” She said
“How come baby?” I asked
“I thought you wouldn’t be ready for it. You know? You’re a musician and shit like that you already get bashed my people for dating a girl you found on the side of the freeway and now your engaged and expecting a kid with her.” She said
“Haters are going to hate baby everyone has them. They just don’t know how fucking amazing you are. Only I do.” I smiled
She looked up at me and smiled, I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers.
“I can’t put my arms down.” I said with the movie during the kiss.
She laughed.
“I don’t think Brian is too happy about the pregnancy.” She said
I guess she saw the unsure looks I was getting all day as well
.“He just looked really unsure all day.” She said
“I know he did but you know what.” I said
“What?” She asked
“Right now he can just suck it and let us be happy. The idea will warm up to him.” I said
“I guess you’re right.” She said
She yawned making me yawn as well.
“Go to bed baby.” I said
She nodded and cuddled up more to my chest.
“I love you.” She whispered
“I love you too baby.” I said
I kissed her hair and she fell asleep.
She was right about Brian being unsure but he can suck it. I laid there trying to fall asleep but I was just thinking about the future. I can’t believe I’m engaged and having a kid, no one knows how happy I am. I am extremely happy both of them are with Brayden too. I never thought I would meet someone who could deal with my shit and someone who is like me in some ways. Who gives a shit that she had run away from an abusive parent, I mean I would of too. Who cares if I picked her up from the freeway? I saved her life, and in the process I fell in love with her. I eventually got lost in other thoughts and fell asleep.
