Math Class Mishaps
Brian’s P.O.V
It was now the last class of the day, math. The only reason that I had to smile, was that Jimmy and Matt had ended up switching out of their math classes and ended up in mine. “Class this is Kaylee. She was one of the kids who had to switch classes due to Mr. Snyder’s departure,” Mrs. Keller stated. “Um…oh this’ll work, go sit in the empty seat behind Matt and between Jimmy and Brian. The teacher obviously wasn’t thinking when she placed Jimmy and Matt. But this…was worse.
I bit my lip as I forced myself to look up as she nodded... When she turned and headed to her seat our eyes met as Mike, an asshole jock in out class cat called at her. She rolled her eyes before taking a seat and dropping her bag. She glared at me when she noticed I was still staring. “Take a picture. It’ll last longer,” she snapped bitterly.
I rolled my eyes. She was really gonna act like a child. I frowned and went back to my stupid math work. I looked around to see everyone working quietly and with a confused frown on their faces. I stole a quick glance and saw she was already at the bottom of the worksheet and was on the last problem. She tucked it into a folder as I gaped at her. She then pulled out a note book and began to write on a blank sheet of paper.
She wrote something on the top and I chose to read over her shoulder…it sounds bad but…I couldn’t help myself.

Hey what’s up girl? I know I told you moving back to Cali would be fun…but I am starting to think Chicago was better. Don’t get me wrong …the weather and beaches are awesome but I’ve found it was silly of me to keep hopes alive for 5 years. And yes…I do realize I could call or email you but this is so much more fun! Anyways, sooner or later I’ll make an excuse for me to come see you. I mean come on it snows up there and we all know I love snowboarding. Oh and guess what! I could totally bring Tyler because he moved here…and you’ve seen his picture…ya know the one with dark hair and beautiful blue eyes? Yeah I know you do…cause we spent a night talking about his body and sports and such he likes to play. And since you did ask for his number, haha that was great. Anyways, to make up for this incredibly boring letter…I promise to send you a picture of one of my friends from before Chicago and Manhattan. He’s still got the coolest and most vibrant green eyes around. Oh and he’s got snake bites…he’s a nice person and a good friend. I think you would find him attractive…I do but I care for him as a friend and see him as a brother type figure…so yeah. I can tell you’re already smiling as you’re reading this. I’m thankful I have Ty to talk with. I mean…I haven’t got a letter in awhile and I’m scared…he’s in…and I’m scared I’m going to get the knock on the door or the phone call. Anyways the bell is about to ring, I’ll call you later.

I pulled myself up and walked out the door with Matt and Jimmy following as we made our way to the parking lot. I saw Amy and wrapped my arms around her in a hug as I saw Kaylee walk up to Ty.
“Hey Tyler…I wanna get home and check the mail,” she looked to be in anticipation as he nodded in understanding and walked her to his car. Amy smiled and we all headed back to my place for practice.
