“Shit,” I hissed as she fell asleep in my arms, I had to get her out of here, she needed more medical attention than I could give but I couldn’t take her to the hospital, good thing we have our own doctor, my mom.
“Mom!” I yelled as I burst through the door of my parent’s house, I’d called ahead to tell her I needed her help.
Getting past the guys had started out difficult but after intimidating all of them and Jimmy being occupied on getting a bullet out of Zacky’s hand I managed to get past. Venus had been bleeding out the whole ride here in the front passenger seat, I thought I was going to lose her.
“In here Matt, what the hell is going on?!” She yelled from the basement where she had all of her equipment set up.
“I need you to help her, she fell asleep before I got her out of the house, I can’t lose her mom,” I told her as I lay Venus down on the bed in the middle of the room underneath the bright light.
“Let me guess,” Mom started as she slipped on gloves and looked Venus over “Zacky got to her?”
“After Jimmy,” I sighed, a tear silently sliding down my face.
“Alright, this could be a while but you need to get out of here, your father is watching TV upstairs and Amy is at McKenna’s place, go sit with your dad, I’ll come get you when you can come and see her,”
I let Venus’ hand slip out of mine and trudged up the stairs and found my dad watching the game on TV and joined him, after very little conversation and three hours I was getting restless, mom hadn’t come upstairs and I needed to see Venus.
“Matt…” Mom’s voice sounded from the door, I looked up and she was almost covered in blood “She’s awake,”
