01-Broken Hearts
I was shuffling through the kitchen, making dinner for me and my brother, Zacky, when the front door busted open.
"Rainne!" I heard my boyfriend, Cory, yell from the living room.
"Cory?" I questioned as I walked oupf the kitchen. "What are you doing here?"
"What am I doing here? What the hell have you been doing?" He asked, voice raising into an almost yell.
"Uhm, I've been living my life," I replied calmly.
"Why haven't you been texting me back? Answering my calls? Is there anything you need to tell me?!" He yelled at me.
"Excuse me?" I asked, getting pissed off.
"Is there something you need to tell me? Are you cheating on me?"
"Why the hell would I cheat on you?!" I yelled back.
"It's been 3 days since you've texted or called me back!" He stepped closer to me. "What the fuck is going on?!"
"You wanna know what's going on?!" I yelled back, making my way into the kitchen I grabbed a box of stuff from the cupboard and threw it at him. "This is what's going on, Cory!"
"What is this?"
"Your birthday present! I was sneaking around to get it for you! I didn't want to blab about it, so I kept away from you!"
"Rainne, I'm, I'm sorry babe," he calmed down, coming in for a hug.
"No, Cory. You accused me of cheating on you, you yelled at me, and you think I'm just going to forgive you like that?!"
"Rainne, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I was just worked up about everything."
"I don't care Cory, get out of my house. Take your shit with you too."
"Are, are you breaking up with me?" He raised his voice, obviously angry.
"Yes, Cory. I am."
Without another word, he turned around and stormed out of the house. I just sank to my knees, not making any sound, just sitting on the floor.
*Matts POV*
I was walking over to Zacky's house to see if he wanted to hang out, when I saw a very enraged Cory, Rainne's boyfriend, driving quickly away.
"What the hell?" I asked myself and ran to their house. Rainne and Zacky live together since Rainne doesn't seem to want to get a job. Zacky doesn't seem to care though, being a rockstar and all, he can support the both of them.
I made it to their house, Zack wasn't home. I still walked in to make sure Rainne was okay.
I walked in, "Rainne?" I called out, no answer. I walked into the kitchen to see her sitting on the floor, her knees up to her chest and her arms wrapped around her legs. "Rainne, are you okay?"
She looked up at me with sad green eyes, then she jumped at me, wrapping her arms around my neck as she started to cry onto my shoulder.
"Shhh, it's okay," I rubbed her back. I stood up and she clung onto me for dear life, I walked over to the couch and sat down, Rainne in my lap. She continued to cry for a while until she fell sleep, still on my lap.
Zacky walked in 10 minutes later.
"Rai- Matt? What are you doing here?" He asked, confusion covering his face.
I stood up and placed Rainne down on the couch, she mumbled something incoherent along with some cuss words.
"I came here to see if you wanted to hang out, on my way over here I saw Cory driving away, he looked mad. I came in and Rainne was just sitting on the floor, not doing anything. I asked her if she was okay and She just hugged me and started to cry. She fell asleep about 10 minutes ago," I explained.
I hope Cory didn't hurt her. If he did, I'm going to beat that punks ass." Zacky threatened.
*Rainne's POV*
Matt put me on the couch, not knowing I was awake from when Zacky came in. I got up off the couch and made my way to the kitchen, Right as Matt was finishing up telling Zacky why he was here.
"hey guys," I said quietly, just barely getting their attention.
"Rainne!" Matt exclaimed and ran over to me Nd picked me up in a huge bear hug. "What happened?"
I explained everything that happened, I could tell they were both pissed off.
"So you guys broke up?" Matt asked and I nodded. "Good, he seemed like an ass."
"He is an ass. He fucking accused me of cheating." I exclaimed.
"You guys wanna have a night in? Movies and pizza?" Zacky asked.
"HELL YEAH!" me and Matt exclaimed at the same time. We all busted into laughter and then made our way to the living room.
And thus, our movie night commenced.
