Nightmare
Epilogue
Third Person's POV
The red light of the surgical room have finally turned off. It's now the time to know if he made it or not.
Arianna and the detectives sat patiently at the blue plastic chairs just outside, and when they saw the light has been turned off, they raised to their eager feet, preparing to ask the doctor their questions.
When the doctor and his crew came out, Arianna approached him.
"How was my husband?"
"Miss, your husband is perfectly fine. We were able to get the drugs out of his systems just in time before it slowly kills him. He is now resting in the ICU."
When hearing the fact that her husband's condition is solved, Arianna and the detectives are much relief. As for Brian Haner Sr, they have not receive any information regarding his situation.
They decided to visit Brian in the next day, giving him a day for him to recover or so. When the detectives left the hospital, it's only down to Arianna. The guys has already dropped in to see his condition, but Arianna had send them home after their long hours.
She had decide to spend her lone time outside of Brian's room. She didn't want to face him as much as she wanted to check on his condition and spend more time with him. She felt sickening at the fact that his father has raped her. She knew he wouldn't want her anymore. She also felt guilty. The fact that she had killed his father just made her more guilty.
This just made her insane.

The next day, once visiting time started, Arianna was allowed into the room of her recovering husband. Seeing him lying in the bed, almost as pale as a sheet of pure white paper, and seeing all those life-supporting machines next to her made her feel the guilt. The guilt of bringing her husband into this situation.
Going next to his side, she gently held his hand. She sat in silently next to her husband's sleeping body with a million things going on in her mind.
She knew now that the ultimate threat in her life, Brian Sr, has gone out of commission, means that she will live ther rest of her life happily ever after. She, after all had killed him. Little did she knew that this isn't as simple as that.
When she left Brian's room, she was greeted by the other two detectives. But this time, instead of their caring expression, they gave her a warrant, issuing the arrest of herself for defensive killing. However, before the handcuffs were snapped around the brunnette's wrists, Jamie's cell phone started ringing.
He muttered a couple "okay." or "alright" before hanging up. He then turned his attention to his boss and Arianna before telling them what had happened.
"Brian is still alive. Your bullet didn't kill him." He said.
Arianna's internal self is rioting. She didn't fucking kill him. Immediately, she felt regret for not adding an extra bullet. She also felt the general fear that is rising up in her. She fears that Brian would tell the detectives that she had shot him not in a defensive stance, but because of her own personal hatred towards him.
She masked her fear and disbelief under her good-girl image. Something must be done.
