Val’s POV.

Seeing as Abbi had gone to pack all her things, we all decided to go for a drink at Johnny’s bar while we waited, Even Larry came with us. You could tell he was worried because he was so tensed and not once did he let his shoulders drop. Matt ordered a round as everyone else went to a booth and pulled another table on the end to fit us all on, Even though I had only met Abbi this morning I was worried about her. I sat next to Matt and nursed my beer, not really joining into the conversation, I would nod here and there, I once looked up and saw Zacky was doing the same as me, I smiled softly before downing my beer.


“Let’s get some shots!” Jimmy screamed into my ear making me laugh, I nodded as he basically jumped out of the booth and ran over to the bar, I hope he wouldn’t order something lethal and would have me on the floor after only a few shots. Jimmy came back with a tray of empty shot glasses and then pulled a bottle of tequila from behind his back. “Christ Jim, I’m gonna be wrecked before 8pm.” We all laughed as Jimmy poured the shots, we didn’t bother with the salt or lime, we just took the shots straight, I made a face and wiped my mouth the back of my hand, after taking a few more shots my phone started ringing, seeing it was Abbi I shushed everyone. “Hey Abs, you alright?” The line was silent but then I heard a crash. “Val…help.” My eyes widened and I stood up. “Abbi is in trouble, we need to go to her place NOW.”


I hurried to Matt’s car and jumped in the front, Zack, Matt and Brian following and getting into the car, While Michelle, Larry, Jimmy and Johnny went to one of their cars. “Follow us, I’m the only one who knows where she lives.” Larry shouted from his car window. Matt nodded and started the Engine, the tension in the car was so high, and you could cut it with a knife. I looked out the window as Matt drove, I don’t know how fast he was going but to me it was like he was doing under 15 or some shit, I was scared shitless for the poor girl, what had Adam done to her this time? Would we be able to help? Most importantly, would we get there in time? All these questions ran through my mind, and I hated the fact they couldn’t be answered.


When we finally got to her house, Larry ran to the door and got the spare key from under a little statue thing and unlocked the door, he ran inside and there on the floor was Abbi, there was a puddle of blood next to her and Michelle started to scream. (She’s never been good with blood.) I shook my head and slowly made my way over to Abbi and checked her pulse, everyone held their breaths until I spoke. “She’s still alive…barely.” I looked up and Zacky was stuck to the spot, he couldn’t tear his eyes away from her, Larry was frantically on the phone to the ambulance

Zacky’s Pov.

I watched as the ambulance came in and started checking on Abbi, I just couldn’t move, I wanted to go and hold her hand, kiss her forehead, whisper in her ear that everything would be alright and she’s safe now that she’ll be living with me, that’s why I came out of my trance. “Her stuff! Val go and find her bedroom and see if she had packed, if she hasn’t pack anything for her, we need to get her out of here for good.” Val looked up at me from her kneeling place and nodded; she grabbed Michelle’s hand and ran up the stairs to find the bedroom.


“Should we clean the blood up?” Johnny asked from beside me, I grimaced and shook my head. “No, leave it,. Let the bastard that did this to her clean up after himself.” We all nodded in agreement until we heard someone screaming upstairs. I was no longer stuck to my spot, I was running up the stairs and towards where the scream was coming from, when I entered the room I saw Michelle and Val standing at the bathroom door. I slowly went over and sat the shower door smashed and blood everywhere. “Holy shit, how much blood has she lost?” Val shrugged and turned around, “Her bag was packed but it was in the cupboard so maybe he found her packing and he went mad?”

I grabbed her bag and hauled it downstairs. Shit it was heavier than I thought it would be, When the three of us were back downstairs Abbi was now in the ambulance and Larry was in the back with her, we all agreed we would follow behind, I put her bag in the trunk of Matt’s car and hopped into the back with Johnny. I tapped my legs with my hands on the drive there, I nodded my head to the beat of the music that was being quietly played from the car stereo. Just as the song finished we were pulling up at the hospital and all four of us scrambled out of the car and hurried into the doors of the hospital. “We’re looking for Abbi Jacobson? She should be here by now.” I frantically said to the nurse on reception and she looked through her computer. “Ahh yes, she is being prepped for surgery now but you can wait outside her room with her uncle, floor 3, room 365.” I nodded as a thank you and set off for the elevator.


Once we got to the floor we saw Larry sitting in a chair outside Abbi’s room, we slowly made our way over to him and sat down without speaking, we all knew we wanted answers now, but we had to wait and that was the worst part, the waiting, I sighed and stood up. “Who wants coffee or something?”


Abbi’s POV.


I woke up in a bright white room and I had to squint as the lights were so harsh, Doctors were running around me checking monitors, what the fuck was going in? All I remember was getting hit by Adam and phoning Val, I didn’t speak to her though, did I? How did I get here? Adam is going to kill me if he finds out that I’m here. I groaned softly and that’s when someone came over to me and looked me over. “Welcome back Miss Jacobson, You’ve been bruised pretty badly. But how are you feeling?” I groaned softly, my throat was dry and it hurt to speak. “I feel like shit and my throat is so dry.”


I tried to sit up but it hurt like hell so I just collapsed back onto the bed and the nurse came over with a glass of water and helped me drink some of it. The cool liquid hit my throat and it felt so good that I let out a happy sigh, although I was far from happy. “Where’s Adam? He’s going to kill me.” I said aloud, not realising I said it out loud. “Adam?” The doctor turned to me. “Was he the father of the child?” I looked at the doctor as my mouth fell open. “Baby? What baby?” As soon as the words left my mouth Larry cleared his throat. “You were pregnant?” Everyone was now standing behind him. The doctor spoke once more, “Did you not know you were pregnant. Miss Jacobson?” I shook my head, not daring to speak.

No one spoke for a good couple of minutes until I heard Matt mutter. “I’ll kill the son of a bitch.” He stormed out the room with Val hot on his feet, I looked at everyone and they avoided looking me in the eye, I’d have to remember to ask someone in the future about that, just as I was about to speak a girl busted through the door. “ABBI OH MY FUCKING GOD, YOU’RE OKAY.” I laughed softly as my best friend Izzy came over to me and carefully hugged me. “Hey there, gorgeous.” I smirked and looked behind me to see Jimmy checking her out, making me chuckle softly.


“I have a surprise for you.” Izzy muttered in my ear softly, I pulled away from her and tried to hide my smile.

“What is it?” She laughed.

“AVENGED FUCKING SEVENFOLD TICKETS.” I bit my lip from laughing hard.

“Izzy, turn around you dumb bitch.” I watched her turn around, I felt her body freeze and then all you could hear was.

“ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.”
