Charles’ P.O.V
“What have we got?” I asked as I ducked under the yellow tape and onto the crime scene.
“23 year old, female, boyfriend left to get dinner, came back and found her in the front yard,” One of the officers answered, pointing to the white sheet on the ground, I looked to him for approval to take a look and he nodded before walking away, I paid no mind to the coroner or the investigators around me as I slowly peeled back the sheet and almost threw up.
Being a cop in Huntington, where everyone was kind and wouldn’t hurt anyone had amazing advantages – I barely ever had to see dead bodies, especially nothing like this anyway. The victim was naked, covered in obvious knife wounds, but the slice across her throat got my attention as did the cut from the base of her neck all the way down her torso and her insides lying out, this was horrendous and I couldn’t look any longer.
“Has anyone talked to the neighbours?” I asked the same officer before as I approached him after covering the body again.
“Yeah, the woman across the street said she heard screaming but guessed it was just some kids but when she heard the boyfriend shouting for help she looked and called it in, we’ve taken them both in for questioning,” I nodded “It’s going to be a long night, where are you staying tonight?” He asked.
“The motel down from your station,” I told him and he nodded.
“Well just be careful, there’s a murderer out there,” He said nudging me.
“Thanks for that pal,” I said sarcastically “Come on, let’s go,”
Riley’s P.O.V
“I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have done that,” I gasped as I pulled away from Matt and covered my mouth with my hand and he smiled, causing me to frown.
“What are you smiling at?” I asked slightly annoyed at the fact he was laughing at my embarrassment.
“Did you hear me asking you to stop?” He smirked.
“Well… no but I-“ I was cut off by his lips pressing against mine roughly, his hands gripping my hips and my fingers tangling in his hair as he walked me backwards and pushed me down onto his bed and climbed over the top of me, I smiled into the kiss, this was really happening, I was finally making out with Matt Sanders.
His hands slid up and under my shirt, up my side and cupped my breast, I could feel myself getting wetter by the second as he got harder, but this was moving very, very fast.
“Whoa there, red flag,” I panted, catching my breath from out amazingly breath-taking kiss and he pulled away and sat up, smiling at me nervously and rubbed the back of his neck “Hey,” I scolded slightly, sitting up and pecking his lips lightly, “I’m not saying no, I’m just saying not yet,” I said with a smile and he kissed me again before pulling away again.
“Can I just ask… why not yet? Y’know, most girls would die for the chance to get in M Shadows pants,” He smiled cockily.
“Well Mr Egotistical, I’m not just any girl, and I don’t want in M Shadows pants, I want in Matt Sander’s pants…” I looked down into my lap as I played with the bottom of my shirt “But not yet, I have my reasons, and I don’t want to bother you with them just yet, so that’s a story for another day,” He went to speak but I pecked him and jumped up from his bed, barely giving him a second to kiss back “Walk me home? It’s getting late,” He smirked and stood up, taking my hand and leading me out of the room.
We got to the front door and I turned to face him, twiddling with my keys in my fingers.
“Thank you for tonight Matt,” I smiled nervously.
“No problem,” He smiled and I turned to unlock the door “I’ll see you at Johnny’s tomorrow,” I stopped and spun around.
“How did you know I was-“ I stopped when I saw that he was already gone “Working…” I finished with a frown on my face. I got a feeling that someone was watching me, but I shrugged it off and walked inside the house to call my mom.

So I'm soooo sorry it's been three days since I updated, i had planned to post a lot more in the last few days but it's been a pretty hectic weekend, I've been finding things out and been unable to deal with them so I've been stressed out and haven't had time to wind down and do what i love the most and write for you guys!:( But tonight is the night that I finally do and post a few chapters, thank you for reading guys!
