Zacky POV
Okay! Time to step up and act like a Dad! I Zachary James Baker jr. will act like a Dad! His school must end at like 2:00pm right?
"Zacky! Dude chill!" Brian told me while reading.
"I’m going to pick up Jake from school!"
"He has a babysitter." He told me grabbing a beer.
"I’ll get him and call Savvy on the way." I grabbed my keys, jumped in our rental car and drove.
I waited for 30 minutes till people came out.
"Hey buddy!" I smiled nerves getting to me.
"Zacky?"
"Excuse me sir. Who are you?" A short lady in green with short hair asked.
"Zacky V- Baker. Here to pick up Jake."
"Oh really? Baby sitter?" I cleared my throat.
"No, um father." I whispered.
"Sorry Mr. Baker but Jake has no filed father."
"I know but I am his Dad." I insisted.
"I’m sorry but sir I ca-"
"Zacky! Why are you here?" Savanna came running up grabbing my hand.
Savanna POV
"Great shots Vanna! Amazing with Synyster!" I smiled at my boss.
"Thanks Gary." When my phone rang.
"Hey Karen!" I said to Jake's babysitter,
"Yeah hey Savanna I can’t pick up Jake or baby-sit him today. My sister just went into labor and the Dad is out of town. She needs me."
"No problem! I get off work early! Tell your sister it’s all worth it in the end! It’ll be hell but they get adorable at some point!" I told her sternly.
I shut my phone.
"Sorry Gary I got to pick up Jake. My baby sitter had to cancel." I grabbed my bag.
"No problem! Hey your next assignment isn’t for a few weeks take time off. Spend time with your son doesn’t he get out for summer soon?" I nodded opening the door.
"Tomorrow, awe thanks Gary! I promise when I get my assignment I’ll do the best I’ve done on anything!" I promised getting in my car.
"What the…" I trailed off when I saw Jake, his principal and Zacky standing in the yard.
"I’m sorry sir but-" I grabbed Zacky hand.
"Zacky what are you doing here?" I asked looking from Mrs. Brady and Zacky.
"This man said he was Jake’s fa-" I stopped her.
"Please, um forget everything as you know Mrs. Brady I’m Jake’s Mom I’ll take him." I said pushing passed Zacky.
"Jake!" I called.
"Hey Mom! Why is Zacky here? Am I spending the night with the guys?" I looked at him, then I knew.
"Colleen said that didn’t she?" He shook his head.
"Brian and Johnny." I sighed.
"Buddy um, I don’t know." Just then Zacky picked up Jake.
"Your Mom’s being mean! Come on!" They both gave me the puppy dog look. I bit my lip in frustration.
"Fine! But not for the night!" I said in an annoyed tone.
"Cool come on little dude." I stopped Zacky.
"Sorry but, what are you doing?" I asked.
"Driving him. You can follow." I shook my head.
"Why?"
"Come one Mom, go back to being cool!" I slapped my head.
"Oh no! You’ve infected him!" I moaned. Zacky grinned and put Jake in the back seat.
"Get in." He told me, but I pointed to my car.
"I can’t just leave my car here!" He shut the door.
"Then follow!" I sighed but got in my car.
I watched them both and felt a small smile creep up on my lips,
"Remember Savanna they're leaving, it won't work." I reminded myself as I started my car.
