Brian’s P.O.V
I was sitting on my bed with my guitar trying to come up with some new riffs but I was too busy thinking about everything that was going on right now. Matt and Val dating so seriously, Zacky finally has a girlfriend and Jimmy and Charlie are having a kid… oh shit, a kid. I remember the first time I met Charlie, we were at playgroup, we were about three years old and she was sitting colouring at one of the little tables with Jimmy, I didn’t like that Jimmy was making her laugh so I walked over to her and stole her crayons, including the one she was using and ran off and hid them in the hopes of making her cry, but instead she tackled me to the ground and wrapped my arm around my back until I gave them back, tough chick. Now she’s pregnant.
My phone buzzed beside me with Charlie’s name lighting up the screen, I smiled and answered it.
“Hey Charlie, how did the doctors go?”
“Fine,” sniff “Can you come over Bri? I really need to talk to someone,” I heard her take a shaky breath and I knew she was crying.
“I’m on my way Charlie, it’s alright,” I hung up, threw my guitar down on my bed, grabbed my keys and ran out the front door after shouting a quick goodbye to my dad and Suzy who was rocking a sleeping McKenna.
“Hey Brian, she’s upstairs,” Emmet said with a spoon hanging from his mouth as he let me inside, I told him thanks and ran up the stairs taking them two at a time and running quickly down the hall to her room.
“Oh god, Charlie, what happened?” I asked, running to her as she lay curled up in a ball, hugging her stomach on her bed.
“I’m in love with Jimmy,” She sobbed, I sat on the middle of her bed and pulled her to me
“What’s wrong with that?” I asked with a light hearted laugh
“He isn’t in love with me,” She choked, this shocked me, of course he loved her, he hadn’t told anyone he did but all of us knew, the way he looked at her, how he talked about her and the baby, he was crazy, head over heels in love with her.
“Yes, Charlie, he is in love with you,” I whispered
“Well then why the fuck had he just finished fucking Leanna when I went over there today?!” She screamed, I was taken back a bit by her outburst but she was hurting and hormonal so I let her continue “I just wanted to go over there and tell him about his son and that I’ fucking in love with him!” She cried into my chest
“Your… son?” I breathed, shocked and happy.
“Yeah, we’re having a boy,” She sniffed, wiping her tears.
“Well believe me baby, he loves you, both of you, more than life,”, I heard her breathing deeply and I looked down at her, seeing she was asleep I lay down and held her as she slept, she needed it.
