Jimmy's 'little' Mistake
Tryna Get That Labour Started
I was given the all clear and allowed to go home, Jimmy came back to my place so I could clean myself up a little before dinner at his parent’s with his sisters. I dressed in the comfiest thing I could find that was appropriate for dinner which ended up being a pale green dress with white flats and my hair tied in a ponytail to keep it off of my neck, being pregnant in California is not fun with all this heat, damn summer.
“Thank you for coming over Charlie, we would have gladly waited, given you just got out of hospital and all,” Jimmy’s mom said as we all started to eat our spaghetti she had made, Jimmy’s mom always made the best spaghetti so she made sure to make it every time I was over.
“It’s really no problem, I didn’t want to be cooped in my room all night and I’m in no condition to be hanging out with all the guys, at least I feel safe here if Harvey decides to try making another appearance,” I chuckled before slurping up a string of pasta “Sorry, I’m such a pig,” I said wiping my mouth with a napkin.
“Don’t worry about it dear, I watched Joan do every time she was pregnant, it’s perfectly normal, you are eating for two after all,” Jimmy’s dad said with a kind smile, Jimmy had told me months ago about the whole ordeal with his dad when he found out about the baby, how he went from angry to crying with happiness in a second, like someone flicked a switch.
“Well, I would like to propose a toast, to Charlie, turning 18 today, Jimmy, becoming a daddy and growing the balls to propose and little Harvey, to not scaring everyone like that again,” Joan said, raising her glass, everyone copied by raising theirs “To family,” She smiled, everyone clinked their glasses together, “We also got you kids a gift, it’s from this whole side of the family, everyone chipped in, now, it isn’t much, but here you go,” She handed me a little box, I opened it and inside was a key.
“Ma, you’re giving us a key?” Jimmy asked with a chuckle.
“No, we’re giving you kids a house,” Jimmy’s dad smiled widely at us.
“What?!” We both yelled in unison, I was shocked to say the least.
“Mrs S, how can you say this isn’t much?” I asked, my eyes filling with tears “Sorry, I’m just so happy,” I sniffed and wiped away the tears.
“It’s quite a small house, we bought it so you guys don’t have to pay rent, there’s some things already in there for you too, all you guys have to do is put the baby things in Harvey’s room which the girls and I decorated, we think it will be to your liking,” Joan smiled at me, I waddled over to her and hugged her tightly.
The rest of the evening went on, Jimmy’s sisters talked about becoming aunts, his parents about being grandparents, and us about being parents, I was asked all about my pregnancy by the girls, occasionally texting Rosie and Val in between conversations, to say it was the best birthday ever would be about right, I doubt we were ever going to be able to top this one.
My due date came and went, Jimmy and I were moved into our little house, it wasn’t too small for us, it was perfect, Jimmy even got a car with the money he had to spare after buying everything we needed for the baby, Emmet and Rosie had surprised us with an engagement and a little bun of their own, I cried when Rosie told me she was pregnant, one, because I was heavily pregnant and hormonal, and two, I was going to be an aunt, and then I made jokes at Emmet for finally doing it, becoming a dad, and he was so scared that he asked Jimmy how to cope since their baby wasn’t planned either, but wasn’t as much of an accident as ours.
“Come on, we can go for another walk and see if that will get things started,” Jimmy said, holding my hoodie out to me.
“Jimmy, we’ve been on a walk every day for the past three days, nothing is happening, we’ve tried spicy food and it just gave me gas and there is no way in hell we are having sex while I’m this fat,” I whined, pointing to my stomach before rubbing it “Come on baby, you can come out now, everything’s ready for you,” I cooed at my belly “Don’t make me come in there young man,” I mock scolded and Jimmy laughed before helping me to my feet.
We were walking through the park, more like Jimmy was strolling and I was waddling. We were nearing ‘the spot’ where the guys used to hang out, they still do sometimes but it’s been a while since Jimmy and I have been, but as we got nearer to it we could hear a lot of shouting and laughing, I smirked and shook my head knowing the guys were there.
“Hey,” Jimmy said in a deep, throaty voice “Nice ass,” I laughed.
“Tryna get that labour started, huh?” Matt asked, poking his head out of the bushes.
“You know it, you guys could be uncles by the end of the night,” Jimmy boasted.
“Don’t count on it Jim,” I said, punching his arm lightly “I’m not feeling anything, he’s cosy,” I said he was cosy in a baby voice.
The guys all put out their cigarettes to come and talk to us, they had stopped smoking around me when we found out I was pregnant and they had to come out of the bushes because there wasn’t enough space in there for me.
“Why don’t you guys just have sex? I know that’s what my dad did when ‘Kenna wouldn’t come out of Suzy,” Brian said bluntly.
“One, that’s gross that you know that and two, I’m in no position to have sex, it’s uncomfortable,” I said matter of factly.
We stood around and talked until I felt the need to go to bed, telling Jimmy once again that it wasn’t happening tonight. We walked back to our place with Matt since we were just a street away from his parent’s house now, we said our goodbyes and went inside. Jimmy ran me a bath with lots of bubbles and helped me get into the tub, the water covered everything but the top of my stomach so Jimmy sat beside the bath and rubbed it, talking to Harvey and trying to coax him out. When the water started to go cold I got out, Jimmy helped me into my underwear and one of his shirts and laid me down in bed before climbing in beside me.

Hey sorry that it took so long for me but wasn't active cause of the school.. very stressing :/ Hm what about a sequel that's maybe 10 or 15 years later? Or maybe when the kid is about 6? I don't know, if you want you can message me and we can try to get something up for a sequel :)
