I woke up laying in a room that I’d only been in a few times, it was Zacky’s.
“Zack?” I called out
“Hold on babe I’m in the bathroom.” He said I sat up and got dizzy and fell back against the pillow.
I closed my eyes and felt Zack plop himself next to me on his bed.
“What happened?” He asked not even looking at me
“You mean who happened?” I asked
“Oh my fuck did Val do that to you?” He asked sitting up and looking at me I closed my eyes.
“Yeah in the bathroom while I was on my way to meet you. I had to go in there because people were saying rude things.” I said
“What kind of rude things?” He asked
“That I was a whore for living with Matt and ‘Sleeping’ with you. They think you’re only with me for sex Zack.” I said air quoting sleeping
“You’re not a whore. Who said it?” He asked
“Kevin Roads.” I said
“Really now?” He asked
“Yeah.” I said
“I’m going to talk to him tomorrow.” He said
“How many stitches did I get?” I asked
“Forty.” He said kissing me next to them
“We have to move you out of Matt’s house.” He said
“Call Jimmy, I want to live there. Because I know your mom hates me.” I said
He nodded and pulled his phone out of his jacket pocket. He texted Jimmy and threw his phone at the foot of the bed
“Let’s get your shit packed for Jimmy’s.” He said
When I knocked on Jimmy’s door a few hours later he pulled it open and a huge smiled came to his face. He pulled me into a hug.
“Watch her forehead Rev.” Zack said
Jimmy looked confused; he pulled my bangs off of the forty stitches. “What did you do Vengeance?” He squealed
“It wasn’t Zacky.” I said leaning my cheek on his chest.
“Take her in, cuddle her keep her safe Rev. I have to go to my mom's work.” Zack said
I smiled and he kissed me softly on the lips.
“Bye baby.” He said
“Bye.” I said walking into the house as Jimmy grabbed my bag. I walked in and laid on his couch.
“You look like shit.” He said sitting next to my face.
“Thanks.” I said looking at the black television
“I think I have to fart. It’s going to be on your face!” He laughed
“Jimmy no!” I laughed sitting up and laying my head on his thigh.
He laughed and I felt his thigh vibrate.
“Jimmy!” I squealed
“I told you I had to Brice.” He laughed
“So when I have to I just don’t let it go.” I said
“That’s such a lie Brice you fart around me all the fucking time. You do it in your sleep too.” He said
“Only around you Jimmy.” I smiled
“You are my best friend Brice.” He said pulling me into a hug.
“I love you Jimmy, I don’t know what I’d do without you.” I said
He smiled but then his face turned serious. “What happened to your head?” He asked
“Val.” I said burring my face into his hair
“What did that bitch do?” He asked
“Bashed my head into the sink at school. She said I was a whore for dating Zack and living with his best-friend which just so happened to be her boyfriend. She told me to move out and bashed my head twice I think on the sink.” I said
“That slut.” He said flipping on the television. “I’m going to watch the news for the weather tomorrow and then we can watch a movie and then I’ll get wherever you want to sleep ready.” He said
“Two sisters were kidnapped from their home today; right after the local school bus dropped them off. The kidnapper broke into her house and waited. He left a note reading ‘Yeah, I took your kids but if I hear you trying to find them I’ll kill them both’” The newscaster said “What is wrong with people?” Jimmy said
“A nice seventy degrees for this weekend.” He said Jimmy flipped it onto the DVD player and we watched The Avengers. The movie ended and Jimmy was asleep, I got up carefully not to wake him and covered him up with a comforter. I kissed his forehead and went up to his room and slept in his bed. I soon fell asleep in his giant bed.
