Though music seeped and held my mind in its lethal palm, everything around me was completely silent. To those around me only made quick eye contact when they found making conversation is damn near impossible with the earphones dangling in my ears, sufficing for a mere head nod. Though I knew words spewed from their moving lips, and there were no doubt horns honking not too far from where I stood, I heard nothing. For once in a long time, my mind was completely blank.
Complete silence.
Sighing, I slipped my hands into my pockets and tilted my head back, the beanie resting on my head rubbing against the brick wall I leant against. Ahh, I could get used to this. I barely heard myself mumble over the intoxicating silence in my head.
Soon, I found myself bopping my head to the R&B beat slithering its way through my ears, entrancing my brain for an entire three and a half minutes. I wasnt paying attention to the lyrics or the voice, but damn, whoever this was, had good taste in artificial instruments. Just a week ago, I found Mondays to be completely monotonous. Now, I couldnt have been happier with my newly found solace. Maybe it was the fact that my last spasm was on Friday. Yep, an entire weekend free of the venom having fun with its trickery on my fragile lil heart. Poor thing. Well, one thing is for sure. When I die, I wont be putting that on the organ donating list. The only thing Im sure of thats functioning A-OK is my liver. Not much a fan of alcohol, unless its--
