Chapter 27
I looked up to see Matt's handsome face that looked scared to death as well. He had stopped running.
"Shit Matt, why don't you just give your girlfriend a heartattack." I half teased half snapped at him. I was still really shooken up. My knees were starting to buckle.
He looked really worried, which made me worried. He had this look of concern in his eyes.
"I-I... I'm so sorry Morgan" He apologized as he wiped a tear from my face. Until then I didn't realize that I was crying. It must of been from the shock. Matt pulled me I to a right hug and continued to say, "I didn't realize... It was so stupid of me...I'm sorry"
I pulled away from the hug and looked up at him, "I could never be mad at you" A look of relief came over him and his eyes started to lighten up, "I'm glad it was you..." My voice faded. We both stood there. Matt felt really bad. It was so cute. He cared. I stood on my toes and kissed his lips. He was 8 inches taller than me, so he had to bend down to kiss me. Our lips pressed together and it sent shivers down my spine. He picked lifted me up so that my legs were around his waste. I wrapped my arms around his neck and ran my fingers through his short hair, as he moved his hands gracefully up and down my back, grasping my lower back ever so often causing me to flinch. We kissed passionately. I loved it. It was intoxicating, in the best way possible. It was so romantic in the moonlight with the waves crashing behind us. I was happy to put it simply. His tongue slowly slid across my bottom lip, soon entering my mouth. I let out a soft moan and i could feel him smiling. Our tongues danced around, mine soon entered his mouth. I could feel myself starting to smile against his lips. He was too. We soon pulled away from the kiss. He was still holding me in his strong arms which I loved. It made me feel so safe. I brushed my nose against his as I looked into his hazel eyes, and whispered "I love you" he whispered back, "I love you more Morgan Jayde" I could feel myself smiling like an idiot. This was by far one of the best moments of my entire life.
"Matt" I said quietly as he put me down.
"Morgan" he replied in a whisper as he kissed my head.
"Thank you" I said shyly.
"For what?"
"For everything, for making me happy... For being here for me...im lucky to have you.." I said as I made patterns in the sand with my feet.
Matt took both of my hands and held them in each of his as he looked deeply into my eyes and said, "I'm luckier to have you."
I blushed deeply at his sweet words as he planted a kiss on my cheek I never got compliments like that, the only people who said sweet things to me were my parents.
We started making our way back to the cottage hand in hand under the moonlit beach.
*Matts POV*
Morgan was flawless. She was everything I had ever dreamed about in a girl. She was perfect. I loved her infinitely. I honestly couldn't believe how in love with her I was. Certainly I had liked girls in the past, but with Morgan it was different I loved her. I wanted to be with her forever. And sure I had kissed girls before, but kissing Morgan a few moments ago was different. It felt so real, full of compassion and lust. It was a real kiss. It was love. I was the happiest I had ever been walking back to the house holding Morgans hand.
I stopped, she seemed confused at first but I pulled her into a tight hug and whispered right into her ear, "Morgan, I love you more than anything."
I could see her smiling, I was smiling too.
I frlt her grip tighten around me, I picked her up bridal style and carried her back to the house that way.
We walked through Morgans magnificent room and up to her house. I must have been at the beach longer than I thought because all the guys were asleep.
"How is it 1am" Morgan laughed, looking at the clock on the wall.
"Time flies when you're having fun" I joked.
"Clever" She said with a smirk.
I was still carrying her as we walked up the 2 flights of stairs and to our room. I placed Morgan down on the bed and pulled the covers over her as I crawled under the covers with her. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer to me. She yawned and fell asleep quickly, as did I. My dreams were filled with her, I was so lucky to have her.
*Morgans POV*
I woke up from a deep sleep in Matt's embrace, as I looked at the clock to see that it was only 2am. I slowly moved out of his grasp trying not to wake him. As I squirmed I didn't realize how close I was to the edge of the bed and I fell off.
"Real smooth" I whispered to myself.
I looked up over the edge of the bed to see if Matt was awake; No. He's a deep sleeper. I liften myself up and walked towards the door. Each step creeped loudly, so I place my hands on either railing and lightly walked down, half sliding. Something I did often at this house when I was little. I walked down the hallway peeking in the rooms, everyone was sleeping. I continued downstairs to the kitchen. I walked into the room when I thought I heard someone move. I slowed my breathing and stayed quiet. It must just be the wind making the floors creak I told myself. I walked over to the light switch and flipped it on, I was greeted by someone sitting at the kitchen table.
