Just Because You're Dead, Doesn't Mean I Can't Love You
The godfather and plans for marriage
After about two minutes the guys finally came down stairs. “Well we were going to have Brian give us the grand tour but since you have lived here longer we think that you should. ” Matt said to me “Wow you’re not even going to ask me you’re just to tell me.” I said getting up “Well come on let’s do this.”
The guys followed me out of the living room and I showed them the house. The most notable places were the front room, kitchen the master bath room and the pool. It’s sad a big house and that’s all that’s notable.
“This house is cool what did you do and how much did it pay cause I want a house like this.” Johnny said. ” It wasn’t really what I did it was more of what my great grandfather my grandfather and my dad did.” I told them “Well what do they do?” Brian asked me “It’s a secret. “I said wishing that I never said anything about them “Well if you won’t tell us can we guess? ”Matt asked
“If you want to.”
"I love guessing games ok, is he a CIA agent?” Jimmy asked “No.” ”Does he work for the government? ”Zacky asked “Nope” “Well can you tell us when we get hotter?” Matt asked “Ok “I said sitting on the couch. “Ok was CIA hot or cold” Johnny asked “Cold and before you ask government is cold too.” ”Ok was he around money a lot.” Zacky asked “Yea you could saw that.”
“No, no, no, that’s not what you’re supposed to say.” Brian told me “Oh yea warmer.” ”Um was he a banker. “Brian asked “colder “”well did he own a lot of property” Zacky asked “Yes oh I mean warmer.”
“Does he own hotels?” Jimmy asked “Yes and no.” when I said that we sat there in silence for a couple of seconds and the guys just look at each other. “How is it yes and no?” Johnny asked “Well he owns hotels but that’s not really his job.” I told them “Well then what does he do “Brian asked. “Have you ever seen the god father?” I asked “Yea.” they all said at once. Ok that’s going to be creepy if they keep doing that. “Well just wanted to know.” I said as I got up and ran out the room.
”Oh no you don’t.” I heard Matt say running after me. I ran upstairs and in to my room and crawled under my bed. I waited there quietly until I felt hands grab my ankles and drag me from under the bed like in quarantine which caused me to scream bloody murder. Then he throws me over his shoulder and takes me back down stairs.
“What happened we heard someone scream bloody murder?” Zacky asked “I pulled her from under her bed and she got scared. ” Matt told them. Placing me back on my feet “Now can you please tell us why you asked us if we saw the god father.” Brian asked “Why don’t you guess?” “No were not going to gue- ” Johnny started un tell he was cut off by Jimmy saying “You guys are dumb he’s a mobster .”All the guys looked at him then at me. ”He’s right “I told them “Your dads a mobster?” Brian asked “Yep.” ”So he kills people” Zacky said “Umm well yea.” I told them “So he could have killed the original owner of this house.” Jimmy asked “My great grandfather had this house built so no, he didn’t kill the original owner.” ”Oh well then that takes some creepy out of it.” Brian said “So I’m creepy” I said “No you’re not creepy it’s just to have someone dead in this house would be creepy. “he told me. Did he really just say that? “Ok sure what ever.” I said getting up and walking up stairs to my old room.
I walked over to the window got on my knees and looked behind me to make sure that no one was behind me and then I pulled up five floor boards and pulled out this old box and opened it. I pulled out some old pictures and looked at them I couldn’t help but smile these pictures always make me fill better when I look at them. After looking at some the pictures I pulled the rest of the picks out and sat them to the side. Then I pulled some tissue paper back gently and pulled out this long elegant white wedding dress that belonged to my great great grandmother. And then my great grandmother wore it at her wedding then my grandmother and finally my mother. I always dreamed of wearing this dress but now I never will I hugged the dress tight to my chest and closed my eyes. I felt a small tear fall down my cheek. Just before I was able to wipe it away I felt a hand wipe it away for me. I looked to see Jimmy and Johnny sting next to me with worried eyes.
“Want us to kick his ass?” “No its ok I forget that I’m dead sometimes so it’s ok that he forgot. “I told them my eyes filling with more tears. I felt Jimmy’s arm wrap around me and he whispered comforting things in my ear. After sitting there for three or four minutes he let me go and looked down at the dress that I was still holding. “Whose dress is that?” ”Oh it’s my great great grandmothers wedding dress.” “She had wonderful taste.“ he told me. “Thank you four generations on my mother’s side have worn this dress but now the tradition stops ”
”Well it doesn’t have to… you know what.” ”What Johnny?” I asked “Let’s have a friend ship marriage next week.” he said with a big smile “Are you serious?” I asked him then he took my hand and said “October would you do me the honor of being my friend in marriage.” “This is all happening so fast I mean we just met.” I said in an overly dramatic voice then I looked him in the eye and said “Johnny I would be honored to be your friend in marriage.” “Wonder full we shall be married next Saturday at noon.” he said standing up and pointing in the air. Jimmy jumped up and started clapping like London Tipton and asked, ”Can I be the best man?” I just busted out laughing really hard and said “Yes.” as I folding up the dress and putting the pictures back “What are these?” Johnny asked “What do you think they are?“ I asked him sounding like a smart ass. “Hey don’t get smart with him woman.” Jimmy said as they sat down next to me again. “There pictures of my family going back to the 1890’s.”
We sat looking at the pictures for about an hour before we finally got threw all of them. Then I put them back in the box and put it back in to the floor. I placed the floor boards back and stood up but then I was lifted off my feet and looked at Jimmy who had a big smile on his face. I just laded my head on his chest and let out a big yawn, “Someone’s sleepy time for bed sleepy head.” Jimmy said walking out the room “No I’m not sleepy.” I said like a five year old. ”No its time for bed.” Johnny said opening the door to my room.
Jimmy laid me down on the bed. But when he turned his back I got up to leave the room “No you don’t little girl back to bed.” Johnny said pointing to the bed. “I’m not sleepy” I told him stomping my foot down. Jimmy just picked me up and laid me back down on the bed. ”But daddy I don’t want to go to sleep the monster under the bed will eat me.“ he smirked “I like it when you call me daddy and don’t worry baby girl daddy and your hubby won’t let the monsters eat you. ” he said as him and Johnny laying down next to me, he and Jimmy wrapped there arm around my waist. I wrapping one arm around each of them and said “I can’t wait for next week my fake fiancé.” ”Neither can I fake fiancée.” “This is going to be so much fun.” Jimmy whispered. I gave a small giggle and with that we fell asleep.
I don’t know how long I was asleep but I wanted to talk to Brian so I slipped through the J’s arms and walked in his room but he wasn’t there so I headed down stairs when I got there he was fast asleep so I headed back upstairs and grabbed a blanket and I dropped threw the floor and went into the kitchen and grabbed a sticky note and a pen and wrote him a note I headed back in to the living room and laid the note on the table and placed the blanket on his sleeping body then I headed up stairs and crawled back in the bed with the J’s and quickly fell asleep.
