Girl I Know

Chapitre Quatre

Brian and Calli entered the club after Calli readjusted her dress. The ecstasy was in full effect now and the music pouring from the speakers made her crave the feeling of dancing bodies around her.

It was excessively hot in the club which only added to the already elevated temperature of Calli's body. She knew that the drugs coursing inside her were causing her to become unusually hot and she made a mental note to get some water. The thought was lost shortly after she slipped into the crowd of people, leaving Brian behind. She had decided he would find her if he really wanted to.

She started slow, allowing herself to find the beat and move along with it. Hands found their way onto her hips and she pressed into them, continuing her erotic dancing. Not caring who was behind her or anywhere else around her, she drowned out the background noise and listening only to the music that flooded the room.

She realized it was Brian who was dancing with her when he leaned into her and started talking.

“Let’s get something to drink.” Calli shook her head no even though she was sure he couldn’t see it.

"Come on, dance with me while this lasts." Brian having taken his own fair share of E, understood that she was referring to her wanting to take advantage of its effects before it wore off.

Calli grabbed his hand and pulled him deeper into the crowd of sweaty bodies. She pushed her body flush against his and began swaying her hips to the beat of the song which she recognized as a club mix of David Guetta's 'turn me on'. He followed her beat, his hands clasped tightly on her hips. He was so close that she could feel his hot breath against her ear as they danced on each other.

"Let's go find Kacey," She said after the song changed for the second time and led Brian to the outskirts of the crowd so he could hear her better.

"There are a lot of people here tonight; it's going to be hard to find her." Calli shook her head and let a laugh spill from her throat.

"Not when you're Kacey. She'll be at the bar. She prefers to be completely plastered before she dances." He smirked and took her hand. She followed behind him as he pushed past people to get to the bar. Once they reached the bar, they took a look around and sure enough, Kacey was there. She was pounding a line of around fifteen shots from what Calli counted. A small group of people had gathered around and were chanting for her to continue.

"Shit, she must be wasted," Brian said as he looked at her wide eyed.

"Kacey has an extremely high tolerance to anything alcoholic but I don't think that was her first line. So yeah, she's probably smashed." But Calli, still high on her drug of choice, neglected to stop her friend. In fact, she joined her in her drinking.

"I'll take a line," She called to the bartender before she got Kacey's attention. She finished her last shot and looked towards Calli. The group of people that had gathered around Kacey dispersed once they saw she had finished her final shot.

"Holy shit, Cal. Your eyes, they're...they're beautiful." Kacey reached out to what she probably thought was Calli's face but was actually the area beside her head. Calli began to laugh at the fact that Kacey was referring to her pupils - which had dilated immensely from the E - as beautiful.

"Your eyes look just like this," Calli said as she gestured towards her eyes. Brian wrapped his arm around her waist and Kacey looked at him with an unusually happy expression.

"This is Brian. Brian, this is Kacey or one of the forms of her, rather." He chuckled and reached for her hand.

"Psh, there is no hand shaking here, my friend. We take shots as an introduction!" He shrugged at Kacey's slurred words and with a smirk on his lips, took a shot from Calli's row of tequila at the same time Kacey did.

Calli threw back her first shot of the night and yelled happily. After the first came another, and then another. She tossed back six of the small glasses of clear liquid before she stopped.

"I bet I can drink you under the table," Calli dared Brian. She knew he couldn't turn her down and she wasn't disappointed.

"You have no idea what you're getting into, sweetheart," he whispered into her ear. She smiled and bit her lip.

"If I win, you pay for all Kacey and I's drinks and we do it the way I want to when you take me home tonight." He raised an eyebrow in an 'oh really' manner.

"When I take you home tonight? Someone's a little cocky. I accept, but if I win you two have to dance on the bar and we do it my way, all night." The way he put an emphasis on the end of his sentence sent chills of pleasure down Calli's spine.

"Deal."

Kacey watched eagerly as the two of them took shot after shot. They had decided to include Calli's six she had already taken and Brian's one. It wouldn't be fair if they hadn't.

Calli had started to feel woozy after only seven shots but she wouldn't let that be known. They were tied at eleven but Calli knew she was close to calling it quits. Brian continued to empty shot glasses like a machine with what looked like no problem.

After her thirteenth, Calli declared herself out but Brian, trying to show her up even further, took another two shots.

"What? I like to end on a multiple of five." He defended himself as she glared jokingly at him.

"C'mon Calli, you suck!" Kacey wasn't much for positive motivation but Calli didn't care. She was nervous about getting up on the bar to dance especially with Kacey as drunk as she was. It wasn't because she thought the tequila would affect their dancing, she was worried about one of them falling. Even with the ecstasy wearing off, she could already see her vision beginning to slow.

"Do we really have to dance? We'll probably fall and break our necks, especially this one." She pointed a finger at Kacey even though she knew within twenty minutes, she'd be ten times worse.

"No, I wouldn't want you falling to your death before I take you home." She answered his statement with a sarcastic 'ha ha' and turned to Kacey.

"Kace, where's Arin?" She looked around, confused then looked back at Calli as if she remembered something.

"He's dancing," She said. Calli tossed her head towards the dancing crowd.

"Dance with me?" Brian smirked and followed her into the crowd for a second time.

Even as well as Calli could dance, she found herself becoming sloppy after just a few minutes. She didn't usually drink hard liquor and when she did, it wasn't in mass amounts. Brian, who seemed to take notice of this, ushered her out of the crowd and towards the door.

"Where are we going?" Calli drunkenly slurred as Brian helped her into his Escalade.

"I'm taking you back to my place," He said after chuckling lightly.

"What? No, I want to dance!" Calli whined in protest. Brian turned on the large SUV and began to drive away.

"You're drunk and dehydrated. You'll start throwing up any minute and I don't think you want that to happen in the club." Calli knew he was right but she didn't make that known to him. She simply slumped down into her seat and looked out the window.

"How are you driving right now? You drank more than I did." It took Calli awhile to get her entire sentence out. Brian let a laugh pass through his lips shortly after she finished.

"Yeah, but I have a high tolerance. I could have drank more than that but I didn't want to embarrass you," He boasted.

They pulled into the garage of his house nearly twenty minutes later and Calli was glad when they did. Brian was right when he said she was going throw up soon. She leaped from the Escalade as soon as he came to a full stop and ran into the house through the garage door.

Once inside the house Calli realized that the only bathroom she knew of was in Brian's room upstairs and she wasn't going to make it that far.

"That door on the left." Brian gestured to a door next to one of the guest bedrooms.

Calli wasted no time in rushing into the bathroom and falling to her knees in front of the porcelain bowl. After hurling up everything in her stomach, she fell onto her butt and leaned her back against the tub.

"Calli?" Brian opened the door and peaked his head inside. Barely conscious, Calli groaned and pulled herself to her feet. She flushed the toilet and rinsed her mouth out with some mouthwash next to the sink.

"Come on," Brian grabbed her hand and led her upstairs.

Once in his room, he helped her get her shoes and dress off and got her into bed. Not even ten minutes later, she was completely knocked out.

Calli woke up the next morning, barely able to recount the previous nights events. She rolled over and realized that she was in Brian's bed still wearing her bra and underwear. It was strange that she was wearing anything at all and she was beginning to get nervous because she couldn't remember what had happened.

She rolled out of bed when she realized that Brian wasn't in the room and checked her phone. She had three missed calls from Kacey.

"Kace?"

"Jesus Calli, I've been trying to get ahold of you all morning! Where are you?" Kacey's screaming on the other end of the phone did not help the pounding headache Calli felt taking over.

"I'm at Brian's house but he's not here. I'm going to take a shower and I'll call you later, okay?" Kacey sighed on the other end of the phone and answered with an angry 'okay' before hanging up.

Upon entering Brian's bathroom, Calli found two towels and a washcloth laid out for her with a slip of paper on top. The note read: Come downstairs when you're done. She smiled and started the shower.

After washing her hair and body and shaving her legs, Calli turned off the shower and reached for her towels. She wrapped her hair in one and tied the other around her body. Deciding that she would do her make up first, she let her hair down to air dry while she brushed her teeth using the toothbrush she'd gotten from her bag.

She applied her usual makeup and made sure that it didn't look caked on before beginning to deal with her hair. She had no choice but to leave it natural because she didn't have any product or styling equipment so she kept it simple and loosely braided the sides back.

A last look at her reflection was enough to satisfy Calli as she exited the bathroom in search of her tote bag. She came across it lying on the floor next to his desk. Inside, she retrieved a pair of high-waisted shorts and a thin sweater with a skull embroidered on it. She finished the look with a pair of black studded boots.

Calli remembered Brian's note and began to make her way out of his room and downstairs when she heard voices coming from the floor below. One was definitely Brian's but there were two or three more that she didn't recognize. She continued down the stairs anyway, not afraid of a little company.

"Good afternoon, sleeping beauty!" Calli gave Brian a confused look.

"Afternoon? What time is it?" As she approached Brian, she took notice of the two other men sitting at the bar while Brian cooked.

"It's 1:30." She glanced wide-eyed at the buff stranger who answered.

"Holy shit, what did you do to me last night?" Brian laughed while his friends made cat calls at them.

"Actually you fell asleep on me." Calli chuckled and took a seat in between the two men.

"That's funny, but really what happened?" Brian looked at Calli with a serious expression and Calli's smile fell.

"I actually fell asleep? Oh my God, I am so sorry!" She covered her mouth and felt her cheeks begin to heat up as the two bodies beside her shook with laughter.

"It's no big deal. I see you found my note. Oh and this is Matt and Zack, by the way." Still unable to get over the fact that she fell asleep, Calli shyly nodded at both the men. The buff one, Matt, gave her a small smile while Zack threw a smirk her way.

Feeling completely stupid, Calli buried her face in her palms and groaned.

"Hey, who's in my seat?" Calli turned to see a rather short man walking towards them. Realizing that it was her who was in his seat, she started to get off the bar stool.

"I'm just kidding, gorgeous. This idiot needs help anyway." Calli returned to her spot and looked over at what the short man had been talking about.

"I don't need your help short shit!" Brian exclaimed as he pushed him away from the pancakes he was making.

"Really? Because I've been watching this toast burn in the toaster for the last ten minutes." Brian turned and rushed to the toaster to remove the pitch black toast.

"Damn, I was wondering why it was getting smoky in here." He walked into the dining room and opened the sliding glass door to release the smoke.

"I'm Johnny, in case you were wondering."

"Calli." Calli shook Johnny's extended hand before feeling her phone going off in her pocket.

"Yes?"

"Where are you? I'm coming to get you and we're going to the beach!" Kacey's voice could be heard on the other line followed by another, more masculine voice.

"Is Arin with you?" Kacey giggled and said something to the person in the car.

"Yeah he is."

"Well fuck that, I'm not going with you two alone! You guys want to go to the beach?" Calli asked the four men chattering in the kitchen.

"We have nothing better to do," Brian said after all the guys looked at him for an answer.

"I'll meet you there. I'm bringing some friends," Calli said to Kacey and hung up the phone.
